I’m so super happy to get this new phone. I wish I would have upgraded my Apple Watch too now that I think of it but I think I’ll go into the store for that. How many of you guys pre ordered the Apple Watch as well?

I pre-ordered the Series 4, but the gold Milanese isn’t shipping until Nov 7th. Supposedly there was a glitch on Verizon’s website where the SS versions of the Series 4 weren’t orderable at the time of initial release. By the time I was notified of the fix, I was stuck with a November date. If the date doesn’t move up, I may go to the Apple store to get it faster.

I am already with verizon with a 4 line verizon plan sharing 12 GB + 2GB per line bonus data. If I add a new line to get the $700 promotion, can I then cancel one my existing lines? I obviously lose the number, but one of my kids wouldn't really care. Or even better, port out the number to a prepaid plan, then port it back in to replace the number of the new line I added. Anyone know if this is possible?

My husband and I did. Got our phones ordered through Verizon at 3am and switched over to Apple Store app and pre-ordered Series 4 watches for us. We both have original Apple Watch, so we kinda were forced to upgrade due to not getting WatchOS 5. I glad they made big changes this year to make it worth upgrading.

Totally - I don't miss the HOME button one bit! I thought I would but the phone was so smooth and got used to swiping immediately.

It's so much easier. Just picture using your phone and you open an app that's locked, like your banking app. Face ID just scans your face and your in. You don't have to move your hand to touch TouchID. One less step for you to do.

Been a while since I ordered through Verizon direct but I think it's FedEx here in Colorado also. You could try to scour the Verizon site if you are bored and see if it references it there.

They use FedEx here in Ohio too. Shipments will probably go out late tonight and FedEx just holds them until Friday.

I did. One 256 Gold Max with a matching Gold SS 44mm for my mother and a 512 SG Max with a SB SS 44mm for myself through Verizon, all with 9/21 delivery

If ordering from Verizon, can they deliver to an address other than the billing address or will they not do that?

I called to get the activation fee waived and the very nice lady at Verizon didn't skip a beat. Not only did she very cheerfully remove it, she also noticed that the activation fee for my X hadn't been waived. Before I could even ask about it she said she would take care of that on as well.

True to her word, after a short hold she came back on and sure enough my bill had $30.00 credit.

It seems so weird that some reps will bend over backwards to help and others refuse.

When I preordered on the website it let me change the shipping address to one that was not on the account but I think as long as the billing address and shipping address match you should be okay. Billing address being the card or whatever you used to pay with not necessarily the one tied to the account

Nice!!! I stupidly didn’t upgrade my watch I’m hoping I can find one in store on launch day if not I gotta wait I do have the series 3 so it won’t be that bad of a wait
[doublepost=1537123940][/doublepost]I wonder who will be the first one to post movement on their accounts #thewaitinggame

Yeah, I sold my s3 the night before preorders at Gamestop for some instant cash. I placed my phone orders at 3:01am Eastern but the app only showed the aluminum watches which I didn’t want. Later, around 11am just before I had to get ready for work, I called Verizon to ask about the stainless steel models. Rep found them listed on their website and they were still showing 9/21 delivery so I placed the orders immediately with her and got a quick confirmation email. So everything is coming on Friday (*knocks on wood*) and earlier today I stopped by a Verizon store and picked up two Speck cases, each a matching color to the phones. I will likely customize a case with Skinit later since I do that for every phone

Any chance of a 10/3 date changing to the 21st ? Order is still in process

I would say more likely to move up to the 28th if anything but in some cases it has been known to move up to release day.. I’m in the 10/3 boat as well ordered the Xs at first by accident had to cancel and reorder

No luck for me in getting the upgrade fee waived. The rep just put a note on my account and told me to contact them when it shows up on my bill. Doesn’t make any sense to me considering it’s part of the charge that will hit when the phone ships rather than anything that would ever be on the bill.

Tried again today and finally got a credit for it. The rep was very persistent that they could not waive the fee and pointed out that it allowed Verizon to provide valuable services like "paying your bill over the phone." They were initially only going to credit back 50%, but after speaking to their manager, they were able to credit the full amount. Luckily, based on everyone else's experience, it sounds like I was striking out with the reps I chatted with.

I incurred no issue at all. Asked, the rep remarked about my long service w/ VZW, immediately applied the credit stating it was "no problem."

S/he would still need to pay the extra for the new line.

Not really a great deal though — $20 * 24 = $480.

So Verizon is actually giving you $700 - $480 = $220.

Almost feels like deceptive advertising.

I think he’s going to cancel his wife’s current line after the month.

It is crazy! I’ve had several tell me that’s not possible, and today the guy I talked with took $75 off my next bill. I didn’t even ask. He told me if I placed my order with him today he could credit the account. He said they can’t take it off the payment they ask for upfront, but they can credit the account.
