Carrier Verizon 2018 New iPhone Pre-Order Thread

Just looked st my Verizon app and it had an official ship date of 9/20 with arrival of 9/21. Guess we won’t see movement until Thursday

Anyone else get a message on the FedEx page that the tracking # can’t be found? I got my tracking # like 7 hours ago and just wanted to see where my phone was coming from. Granted, I’ve been through 5 pre-orders and I’m sure the # will work tomorrow...

Ordered a xs and xs max separately within 5 minutes of each other. Xs shipping email received yesterday for 9/21 delivery, no email for xs max and after checking Verizon it says est shipping date 9/21?!?! Hope that changes.

It will likely go from West Chester to Newark then Harrisburg and maybe back to Coatsville then your destination. They'll pass it around until Friday!
Weird but I have a package coming in the mail from VZ today and the only thing I ordered was the phone - maybe it's a SIM card but that usually comes in the phone so I can't imagine what it is.

Funny enough it is in fact in NJ now, even though I’m in the Midwest

That’s super frustrating. I prefer the SS but ordered the Aluminum because it’s all that I saw.

Says that I’ll get it 9/21. But it also says that all Aluminum 44 SBs are 9/21. I doubt that.

Very frustrating. I’m echoing Ms Randall. Get the SS if that’s what you really want. I’m not settling for Aluminum just because I could get it faster. It was always to be an SS version for me. I just went gold instead of SB after seeing how nice it looked. Go for what you really want.

It means you will receive by Friday. I’ve seen orders start moving as late as Thursday and be receive in launch date. Last year movement on my X was 23 hours before launch

I would avoid BB at all costs personally. I used them to preorder one year and all the employees were walking around with new iPhones but my phone came in 3 weeks later. Granted that was years ago I think iPhone 5 but even last year people had issues.

They preorder based on what they think they will get in a specific store / sometime they have extras and sometimes they come up short. Either way the sorry your ur iPhone is not here yet email comes the night before launch which is sooooo wrong on many levels

Has anyone that used Apple Pay had a successful transaction? It shows in wallet as pending, and I have received no e-mails about it declining but seems everyone has had trouble. My order still shows processing with Sept. 21 delivery.

I received an email that there was a payment failure with my card. I just updated the card and had it paid... should I expect my delivery for Friday to be delayed now?

Something similar happened to me, but they give you 7 days before they cancel it, u should be fine i got charged for my phone last night.

I ordered on the 14th about 6 am Arizona time. Just charged my PayPal account and got a Fed X tracking for Friday Delivery it’s in West Chester PA. Right now

I ordered a 64gb space grey Xs with Verizon on a trade up program. I went through Verizon site to order. I’m really sick of using a pass word code so this face reconigtion was my main reason for upgrading. One thought I had is I have two grandkids that I watch quite often and if something happened to me one of the kids could hold this to my face and get access to call for help. There young 4 and under but something I can certainly teach them to do. I know it is a weird thought on my part but just wait till you hit 61 and you start thinking about this crap. Once it’s shipped it’s in either Fedx or UPS hands so you have to deal with them to change things. I get many items shipped to me and there are ways around this signature on delivery. Sometimes given the restrictions put on a package from your buying source you can change it . Sometimes I have waived that on there sites, other times I can pick up at the distribution site. Also you can pick up at like a UPS store or Fedx store. So depending who is shipping you have to go through them and see what options you are given. Once you get tracking it’s out of the carriers hands, Apple or whoever you bought it from. Trust me it’s a fruitless phone call to them. Call or go online to your shipping carrier and see what options you have.

My 256 GB Silver XS Max has been shipped and it has the same tracking number as the other phone in my order. That other phone was marked shipped early yesterday. So, anyone seeing phones in your order shipped before other phones, don’t fret.

The issue with Apple Pay is that it’s only supposed to used like cash, so it won’t work to pay for things on a contract. I can’t speak for why it wouldn’t work to pay full price for a phone... maybe because it can’t be used for future payments?

I am just wondering if anyone else that ordered through Verizon within the first couple of hours is still showing Pending.

My Order: Xs Max SG 256GB, ordered at about 6am ET (3am PT). Currently shows “Shipping around Sept 21”.

Does the fact that my order still shows as Pending mean that it is likely I will not receive the device on Friday?

Gold 256 Max shipped yesterday while my 512 SG Max is still pending along with 2 watches ( Gold SS 44 and SB SS 44 - both w/ sports bands).

I mean of course all of us are anxious but I have also been through this song and dance for the past 3 years. Sometimes I got a charge and ship as early as Sunday while others Tues through Thursday. But all of my stuff has come through on Launch Day. It’s all a matter of not overly freaking out.

I did.

I didn’t cancel the Black Aluminum. But I did preorder a SS Gold too. It does look good. Just don’t want too much bling...it’ll wreck my Harley-Davidson biker vibe!
