Carrier Verizon 2018 New iPhone Pre-Order Thread

Still no idea of where my gold Max is shipping from. No details available on my tracking number... hopefully by tomorrow or Thursday. *sigh*
 
Alright so I finally got to another Verizon rep who actually KNEW what he was talking about. The text message I received today was taken in error. The order, not the pre-order, was received today meaning that my phone has officially landed in Verizon's hands and will be shipped imminently! Both my phone and my father's phone show 'COMPLETE' in their system, just mine is awaiting a tracking number. I'm sure I'll get an email from Fedex tonight with the tracking details (thank you Delivery Manager!) so I'm finally allowing myself to get excited. COME TO PAPA!

Basically, if you receive a message saying that the 'order was received today', your phone has officially moved into 'preparing for shipment' in Verizon's system. My father's phone got a tracking number Monday night and showed an Order Date of 9/16 (Sunday) instead of 9/14 (Friday).

To me, this puts into question the whole utility of Apple Pay. Why would I ever want to use it instead of a credit card if I'm going to risk this happening?

How long until others have received the email allowing to update payment info once declined? Do you know?

Not true for freight. All freight flights have left (some delayed, but only a few hours) in the last week.
 
For those still waiting.

preordered around 240AM CST, had to go through VZ online CS to order it as I could not remember my PIN and was subsequently locked out of my own account. ordered the 256gb gold XS max.

Had the status processing this whole time with ETA 9/21. Then just now got a text saying my order was received, logged back into VZ website to check status, and the ETA disappeared, so i chatted with the VZ CS online rep, and they reaffirmed my phone was already shipped and will get it at the original quoted 9/21. Still havent been charged either. (ordered the installment plan, not the bulk payment). account is on autopay.

So bottom line: the website may not be completely up to date, let alone accurate, most cases the VZ CS reps are useless, in my case they were helpful.

edit: just got charged.

Used Paypal. Just got charged and texted. WOOOOO now I just need Best Buy to do the same for my apple watch.
 
My Verizon app showed that my SG 256gb Max had shipped by Fedex yesterday. No tracking info yet. A few hours ago it said “estimated delivery September 18.”

Obviously that’s wrong, but I got a tad bit excited, because why not? Lol.

Got home a few minutes ago, and there was a note on my door. I thought, “Surely Fedex didn’t try to deliver this thing for real already.” Nope, just a political solicitation for a local race.

Made my heart skip a beat though!

I just checked my account again and I still haven't been charged. To make matters worst I had 2 orders for 2 iPhones and now it only shows 1 iPhone as ordered. The other iPhone has completely disappeared like it was never ordered. Also, my expected deliver date has disappeared too there isn't one anymore :(

I received the email within 30 minutes of getting the decline notification last night. Also, once the email came I was unable to open the link via my iPhone or iPad, but it worked on my Mac. Once I updated it to a new card, the charge went through immediately and everything continued seamlessly.
 
Second phone just got charged and changed to processing in the app. 512 SG Max. Now if my watches would go through, I’ll be golden
