Carrier Verizon 2018 New iPhone Pre-Order Thread

I don't know if the charge can be the first sign. I don't have a charge yet.
Last year I didn't get charged until Tuesday night followed with a shipping notice. If you don't get it by tomorrow, you won't get the phone on the 21st. I am still waiting for my payment change and shipping notice. If i don't get it by tomorrow, I will just cancel.

I think that would just apply to Apple orders, not Verizon. US carrier orders are already stateside. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong on this.
Your phone may not even leave the Memphis hub until thursday, depending how close you are to the hub. Last year my phone shipped from Memphis to Minneapolis thursday evening, and then arrived at my airport from Minneapolis around 4 in the morning on Friday, and I received it that same afternoon.
I’m betting it changes overnight. It’s the same every year, people freaking out. If it said you’ll get it by Friday when you ordered, more than likely you will.
Yup, every year. People freak out if there's no movement 3 days or 4 days before. It will happen when it happens. Let it go. Lol
I agree. Although I can't say definitely, past experience indicate that US retailers (excluding Apple) have the phones shipped to their warehouse before they ship them to us, while Apple ships from China for first releases. My Apple Watch is getting shipped from China right now!
In addition, according to this macrumors article: https://www.macrumors.com/2018/09/17/iphone-xs-orders-now-shipping-out/, the shipment in the picture comes out of Zhengzhou. My guess is that they come out of the Foxconn plant in Zhengzhou. There is a news article from a major Chinese media group People's Daily suggesting half of the iPhones were made in that plant: en.people.cn/n3/2017/0918/c90000-9270552.html Zhengzhou is in central China, and is pretty far from the affected area of Typhoon Mangkhut, so there is not much to worry about there even if Verizon is asking Apple to ship products to the customers directly (which is very unlikely anyway).
I placed an order on the 16th. I wasn’t going to, but the guy offered to credit my account $75 to waive my upgrade fee and the last device payment I had, so I couldn’t pass it up. I was charged last night and got shipping confirmation this morning. It is now in NJ!
Also for those regarding getting a good Verizon rep....the guy I had gave me his personal work email so I could contact him directly in the future. So you may try asking for their email if you like them and want to use them again.

I used Apple Pay as well. I just finished talking with a VZW rep about it. He checked my account and said that the delivery is for 21 Sep and should ship 19 Sep, and that the card won't be charged until it's shipped.
Same order and I have not shipping details yet. Not charged. Ordered 12:23. Delivery date 9/21
I talked to a CS rep via chat earlier today and she said that for the Upgrade Fees & the Activation Fee for the new line that Verizon was going to wave them so that I never see the charges.

I finished ordering around that time via CS and one of my orders have already shipped and the other one is still processing but according to CS Chat they told me the other order will be delivered by the 21st. Check with Chat CS once.
It seems that there were not very many Silver phones in stock as I've been seeing a lot more movement on the Space Gray and Gold models than I have on the Silvers. At least, that is how it is on the Max it seems.

My father's phone does not show up at all using any phone numbers from the account in the track by reference system. Your best bet would be to set up FedEx Delivery Manager. I've done that with them and UPS so whenever a label is generated with my address I immediately get an email and estimated date of arrival. I can also request they hold it at a certain location (store, sort facility) if I'm not there for delivery.
That's why I am very glad that the woman who placed the order for my BOGO phone that night gave me her personal cell incase any issues arose.

Same here, I ordered on Verizon site through chat right at 1201am pst and as of this evening still shows "pending and ship around September 21st". Ordered XS Max 512gb and watch 44mm with sports loop both items in silver.....
It will ship and be delivered on the 21st. My first order already shipped and the second one is still showing what yours is showing. Just wait for the text and email, it should change tonight or tomorrow morning.
Another couple dumb questions since it's my first time doing this.....from your order how do you get tracking number of find out where your phone is? And also even though I doubt it if for some reason I'm not happy with phone how does verizon 14 day return work on preorders? Do the days start when I ordered or when I get phone?
