Another data point for everyone. I ordered 2 phones on 2 separate orders using the Small Business site on 9/9 at 3:20 EDT.

7+ Matte Black 256GB
Expected delivery on 9/23 and order confirmation says 9/23

7+ Jet Black 256GB
Expected delivery on 9/28 and order confirmation says 9/28

So no movement since the order was placed. I had to call CS today about international data so went ahead and asked them about my orders. He said the dates were probably accurate as they were backordered.

Honestly, he sounded totally clueless. Historically, like a lot of people on here, I've had a later ship date with Verizon and still gotten my phone on launch day. I'm a little less optimistic this year because historically this week you'll Verizon's expected ship dates for completed orders slide in a favorable direction. Meaning, if the website said Mid Oct and then you check status it might say early Oct. But this year, we've seen order statuses online for these 7+'s slide the other way. Which tells me they have a real inventory problem.

I will also note that Verizon's inventory system doesn't appear to be able to handle on the way scenarios. Looks like the system is built just to take goods in and ships them out. I think that's why they just hand out general dates in weekly increments. They really don't know until they get shipped a bunch and then they enter into the system and start processing. So this week, they're inventory just says zero. And all the CS people are just staring at a screen that says zero.
yeah the CS workers don't know anything but what they're told

people in the store don't even know what the Customer Service Line people do and vice versa so I don't put much stock in it
Very true. I can usually filter out when they are just feeding me something that they aren't sure of. Also I have a business account so when I call in I automatically go to tier 2 support. The people there seem to know what's going on or will find out.

Oh ok gotcha, anymore info you find out let us know

I am moving from the 6s to 7+. Bigger guy, about 6'2, normal sized hands. Think I'll struggle to adapt? I am assuming I'll learn to love it after a couple days. Have always been drawn to just going 1 device. I plan on selling my iPad and Macbook Pro as I really don't have a use for them. Off topic I know, but on a forum with a bunch of Plus users.

Pre-ordered on Friday after 9:00 am ET. 7 Plus 256GB Gold. Wasn't planning on buying at all because I wanted to wait until next year for the 10th anniversary edition, but the $650 credit lured me in!
Got my confirmation at 9:26 am, right after I placed the order. Estimated delivery date 9/28 for both the email link and the website. Has not changed at all.
At 1:26 pm today, Sep 12, I got an email with the subject line "Your tracking and shipping information". It was for the trade-in box :-(
I don't expect the delivery date to change for me. When I pre-ordered my 6Plus, the original date I was given never changed, which was one week after launch date.

Nah I don't think so, I have the 6+ and it wasn't an adjustment for me at all because I have big hands

you shouldn't have a problem. just be careful on what case you buy as they can add a lot to the size on a all ready pretty big phone. I always been happy with spigen slim armor line. If you not getting a case should just be a day or two and should be find with it. btw 6'2 and normal size hands

Thanks. Yea I ordered a super slim clear case to try out when I get it. The last thing I want to do is add any bulk to it.

Cool, thanks for the input. I was in another forum and was questioning my decision a bit, but whenever I handled it in store, it seemed fine. I just figured I'd ask the plus users.

depending on the case it may make it really bulky but for me it worked, without the case it always felt like I was going to break it

Just heard from a CSR and my order is still good for the 28th delivery. He also told me that he hasn't heard and any orders being moved up or pushed back.

I am going in to the store on Friday morning if I don't hear anything on my preorder Thursday. And if they have it in store, I am going to have them cancel my preorder and I will walk out with my new iPhone 7+.

Good luck. I've seen it happen during several launches that when people try that, the cancellation at the store takes some time and won't allow the new phone to be purchased for 24 hours. The people walk out without a pre-order or a phone and they are usually pretty upset. Perhaps Verizon has changed their system on this, but I won't risk it.

Hold up I was told by a rep that I couldn't get that credit I'll be calling them lol

May as well add my info to the bunch.

iPhone 7 Plus, 128GB, Jet Black.
Ordered around 3:13AM EST from Verizon's website.
Email says 10/5 delivery, but check order status page says a 9/23 delivery.

Who knows what to believe anymore.

Ordered a 7+ 128GB Rose Gold about 2 hours after pre-orders started.

When I click the link in my confirmation email it shows a date of 9/28.
When I check the order status from My Verizon it gives a ship date of 9/16.
No charges on my card yet.

this is me, except I ordered about 15 minutes after pre-orders started.

256 GB, iPhone 7 plus, matte black.

Ordered 2:13 am CST and got a 09/23 ship date

Currently when I track my order it says it's "in process" and to check back later.

Exactly the same situation I'm in. Right down to the GB, color and ship date.

But I'm not to worried. I have too many phones as it is. Plus my iPhone SE will remain my daily driver
