ok so i put my phone up on craigslist and sold in less than 2 hours..yikes..good thing I have an old 4s to hold me over. With my 6plus paid off and gone, I'm on the next plan I know I can order off verizon or apple. Is it a better deal to do apples new plan or just stick with verizon and hope i get in with the first shipments

We're on Verizon with a More Everything plan, 8GB, 2 iPhones. The base (no fees/taxes) cost is $150, but we're off contract since December, phones paid for, so we get -$15/device discount, $70 + $25 + $25 = $120/month

Quoting myself :D

Verizon dropped my existing plan line access fees to $15 per device! i.e., -$25/each, so now my 8GB plan with two devices, out of contract is $100/month. So I'll definitely buy through whatever mechanism doesn't create a new contract - That's $50/month, $1200 saved vs. a 2 year contract.

The rep seemed to suggest that on the pre-orders, devices could be bought via the 0% payment plan through Verizon.com on Saturday night - looking forward to the 3am Charlie Foxtrot :D

Going with the same as last year, plus, 64gb, space grey

Went ahead and put my verizon info in to the apple store app to save time at launch

My next question is, will I have to choose a new plan? I like my current month to month plan and would like to keep it, if I can unless they have a cheaper one?

You can keep your current contract. In fact, I believe if you try to change, your only option will be to go with the new Verizon plans that require monthly device payments.

I can't seem to figure out how to preorder for full price on the Apple site or through the app. Any ideas?

When you click on 'make sure you are ready to pre-order' you will get an option after verifying you upgrade status. If you have an upgrade and dont want to use it you can just order at full price.

I switched to T-Mobile last year after being with AT&T for the 8 years prior. Huge mistake. Still hate AT&T but T-Mobile is worse. Verizon is my last hope! With that being said, I plan on switching from a 6 Plus to a 6S. Just not a fan of the bulk. However, I'm trying to setup a new account with them and can't seem to figure out how to do it without selecting a phone. As the preorders aren't live yet, I'm not sure what to do. I'm just trying to save some time when it comes to tomorrow night. It took 6 weeks to get my 6 Plus last year because I waited a day to get my order in. One day. I definitely don't want to repeat that again.

This is my plan. Buy full price from Apple and then go to Verizon's BYOD webpage here.

Oh, awesome! Thank you. I'll be doing Apple's upgrade program instead of full price though.
I would as well, but I can't figure out how to BOTH reserve an appointment AND reserve/preorder the phone at one go. The apple specialist told me the reservation for the appointment does not reserve a phone. I guess we wait for 9/12 to see how it will work.

I wouldn't be as concerned about it. Apple gives their stores MUCH more inventory than the carrier stores.

I am planning on buying the iPhone 6S 64GB. I am on contract from iPhone 6 so I will pay the full price. Will there be the option to order it and pick it up in store like last year? And if so, will I be able to preorder it or do I have to wait until the launch day?

I wish you could pre order on Apple.com with this Verizon monthly plan. Don't get why, att allows me for my other line.

Yes but there's no option to get on a device payment plan. Atleast for me there isn't. Verizon rep said you can only do it on their site.
