OK, so as of now, my UPS tracking number is alive, somewhat.
A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated.
So UPS has not scanned it yet.
Still waiting to see where its first scan is.

Got my tracking so VZW uses UPS. If I'm not home to sign then what?? Last time my wife ordered a phone from insurance they gave me a hard time picking it up from the local ups depot. Verizon wasn't giving me a problem, UPS was as they said the sender(saurian/verizon) doesn't allow pick ups and you have to be home. I lost my mind because that makes no sense to me because MOST people have jobs and aren't home all day to pick up packages. Luckily my wife is home Friday but she has stuff to do so if she misses UPS(her phone and mine) I wonder if I can just go there and pick it up. When I ordered the 5S when it came out VZW used FEDEX and I had no problem going to the depot to pick it up. Whats the consensus here, is Asurion different than VZW, will I have a problem if I'm not home? I don't want to wait until Monday since UPS is closed on Saturday. Any ideas?? I can call UPS but they will tell me nothing until they get the package in their possession and that won't be until Thursday
You could leave the slip hanging on the door to "pre-sign" so they'll just leave the package. There are mixed posts out there though debating whether or not they'll leave the phones this year. I'll grab the link in a second
great, thanks, i will call them anyway on thursday to see if I can do a pick up if I'm not home, then I will ask them about that release form
If I read this right, they are not planning on doing anything with these until Thursday?

I would think it would be a lot less stress on their system is they sent them to the local centers to stage instead of sending them all out at once?

No no no, that makes too much sense to stage! They must use the hardest and most complicated way possible lol
Verizon isn't solely using UPS. I have two phones coming, one from UPS and the other from Fed Ex

Do we need to get ready for the activation server overload?
mine is coming via fedex. the last time, I was able to customize delivery and have it held at a fedex location, but this time, so far, that option is greyed out. anyone else seeing the same thing? do you know if this option will become available once the phone actually is on the way?
Last year I was unable to customize the order, but I think it is different on where you are and how much the gods of shipping like you. I had a bit of a snafu with them last time, so I ordered through Apple this year.
What's easier to control, 1 location or 500? All the Fedex I've seen are in Newark, NJ. I'm betting under lock and key. I'd say they will leave there Wednesday night (maybe Thursday).

Maybe I'm having some sort of technical difficulties but I can't seem to get the PDF to load. I'm sure my MIL will be home to sign for it for me BUT I'd rather play it safe and get a copy of this signed.
Anyone else having problems loading it?
