Verizon.com: Preorder thread

I decided to check my order over the weekend and the Verizon site said my 128GB Space Gray Iphone 6S Plus was being delivered today. So who knows how Verizon is doling out the IPhones. My Iphone 6 Plus order estimate was accurate last year but I got lucky this year. Hopefully my luck will hold out for the Iphone 7.

ordered my 128 GB space grey 6Splus 9/26 and mine is still showing pending with a ship date of 10/12 as well. hope to get mine soon. I wonder how they are doing the process.

We have the exact same order.

Wife purchased a 6S 64GB RG on the same day and receives hers any minute. She had a 10/5 ship date. It shipped the day after.

Most of the 6S' showed stock yesterday. It's the Plus series that's all showing backorder.

My 64GB (ordered 9/25) 6 Plus Silver shows 10/12 still... at least every day is closer. lol.
 
lurker, registering just to add, ordered in store 9/19, 2 6s+ 64GB silver/grey. Had 10/14 date, moved to 10/12. Haven't seen any movement since.

I called a local store a while back and they said they had the 6S, but no 6S+. Starting to think that the 6S+ is the bottleneck right now.
 
Didn't pre-order. Ordered iPhone 6S Plus 64GB Space Gray on September 28. Showing October 26 as ship date. Hoping it's a little sooner.

It is.

Even the Verizon site shows almost all the 6S models currently available, but the Plus models are all backordered.

I wonder if there will be a shipment that comes in that pushes all the ship dates forward. My wife ordered a 6S on the 26th when I ordered my plus. Hers had a back order date of the 5th, but it shipped the next day and was here today.
 
In the past that's been the case, SamJD. I've ordered a few phones in the past and they shipped a few days to weeks early, but it's all dependent on Apple. It seems they tend to set the dates a little higher though "to be safe" since demand is high.

Most likely Apple has provided estimates to carriers based on expected yield. If more ship then more ship, but it's dependent on that. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a bump forward, though, at least a few days.

Someone above said they got theirs a week early, not sure which model. Also the 6S Plus seems to be the one most backordered so we'll see.

PLUS MODELS are the ones with inventory issues. Verizon has plenty of stock showing on 6S non-Plus models.

If users are getting non-Plus models before you and you're a plus... there's your answer. You could order a 6S now and have it Friday (since unlikely it'll ship today due to the time)

I'll definitely update once my 10/12 date either changes/ships.

Yup! Just trying to be patient and failing miserably. I think it's the upgrade in screen size and 3D Touch that has me most excited.
 
For me it's the new toy factor. I bounce phone's every few years OS wise. I'm jonesing for iOS again since my HTC M8 isn't charging right. So I'm refreshing the Order Status knowing damn well it wont matter...lol

So interesting! I'm so happily locked into iOS and OS X, but android has some pretty cool stuff. Played with my wife's phone... Damn. Love how snappy it is and the 3D Touch trackpad just like my iPad. The app switcher gesture is also great.
 
I have no phone allegiance...lol. Which is good because to me it's about what captures me. I'm not going to get into X vs Y because they both have something to offer.

I'm an OSX person as well, going to install El Capitain tonight, with a late 2013 MBP (i7, 16GB, 500GB SSD, 2GB 750GTX)
