Although I would love for Verizon to lower prices, I'm not going to jump to an inferior network (AT&T) just to save a couple of bucks per month. Plus I have fully unthrottled unlimited 4G LTE with Verizon right now. You get what you pay for folks.

Um, att is faster, more reliable, has data and talk at the same time ect, ya it may be missing coverage in the middle of the desert but big deal.

I have both ATT and Verizon. Unlimited data on Verizon is probably the most logical reason to stay on Verizon.

But Verizon doesn't have much of an edge on ATT any more. Verizon lte can be very slow these days. I've experienced this first hand multiple times.

There are still quite a few areas where AT&T is EDGE or roaming while Verizon has 4G LTE just about everywhere. I'll agree AT&T has the edge in some major metros where Verizon is overloaded and AWS LTE isn't rolled out yet but Verizon is far better on average if you travel. Talk/Text, I'll give you that but I wouldn't associate "reliable" with AT&T when trying to compare them to Verizon.

Overall it's still an inferior network so my point stands. That's why even at their high prices Verizon was able to add more customers than anyone while AT&T had to cut prices to stop the bleeding to T-Mobile of all carriers.

AT&T can be slow as well, I've seen it first hand using the speedtest APP with AT&T phones. As always YMMV.

I switched and have had a great experience. The '4G' is almost as good and LTE I was getting with Verizon and have had no dropped call issues like the old days. Gotta say, in some areas I am getting even better reception than I had with Verizon.

Glad things are working out for you.

Carriers change. ATT has gotten much better the past couple of years.

I carry both Verizon and ATT. Verizon still has edge in lte coverage but not by much for the places I frequent.

How about voice calls? Would you say Verizon or AT&T has better coverage? Which carrier drops more calls. or won't complete a call you initiate?

What areas do you use your phones in?

Hello Verizon Customers:

Are you thinking about moving to AT&T? Or are you sticking with your plan on Verizon?

Heres my story...I have 2 iPhone 5(s) and 1 iphone 5s on my Verizon account. Currently I enjoy a 22% discount on Verizon. I am on the mobile share 10gb. My bill is about $210-$215 on Verizon right now. My contracts end this year in June, July and Sept. My iPhone 5s was purchased without a contract extension.

The move to AT&T would cost me efts fees of $150, $180, and $180 minus the $300 AT&T is giving for new lines of service for 3 lines. Net EFT out of my pocket is $210.

My husband and son would need new phones as they both have the iPhone 5 - however with the trade in value at BB both would be could get the phone they wanted without spending any pocket money.

AT&T plan would be $80 for 10gb (I have a 20% discount with AT$T) plus $40 dollars for the two new phones if I didnt go with the NEXT program and then $15 dollars for my line...approx bill with AT&T $175 + $15 taxes=$190

So although it not that much of a savings all phones would be upgraded to the latest and greatest and I would gain web access when I am on the phone.

So have you done the math for you account? Are you switching?? Thoughts???

I will be watching closely for Verizons next move- I am not ready to switch today but the next 3 months will be key for me.

Wow 20% how did you get that?

That's really open ended as a specific square inch could have better coverage by either vendor. Here in the tristate area it's a draw for all four carriers, of course NYC should be. But between boston and Miami, Santa Fe and Phoenix, San Diego and San Francisco, I give verizon.

My AT&T sim arrives today and although I wanted to stay with Verizon I am giving them another 2 weeks / hopefully this more announcement tomorrow by Verizon will be something

AT&T has worse coverage and drops more calls. That's why Verizon is more expensive.

I would have a hard time ever returning to Verizon. They have horrible customer service. AT&T in Phoenix has invested over $500M in the past few years and the service is good.

I guess I'm the opposite as I would have a hard time leaving verizon. They have great customer service and always have great reception in the Phoenix area. Of course north towards flagstaff or west toward la or San Diego is what separates one provider from the other.

I really hope that is sarcasm.

No sarcasm at all. It's pretty much a well known fact that Verizon has the strongest network and most broad coverage in the US. If AT&T or the other 2 carriers could get away with charging what Verizon charges, trust me they would. You get what you pay for when it comes to cellular service.

If you travel a lot like I do, then Verizon is usually the only viable choice.

I'm pretty sure you're going off old, inaccurate information.

Last summer we traveled halfway across the country and back and my AT&T phone worked in all of the same places that my wife's Verizon phone worked. I also had better LTE speeds more than 75% of the time. Compare this information to the same trip we took 5 years ago, AT&T has made some HUGE improvements to their network.

Needless to say, she didn't have a reason to keep paying Verizon and switched to AT&T. As an added bonus, she has a solid fast LTE connection where she works now. Something that she didn't have with Verizon.

It depends. I've been places where ATT gets zero bars, while my VZW phone gets 5 bars. It's not only that ATT gets 25 down and VZW gets 20 down in some places. It's where I happen to travel VZW just works better. It all depends on what square inch of land one is on. I get 55 down with VZW in my neck of the woods, definitely worth it for me.

I'm still grandfathered into unlimited data at $30 a month with Verizon. I have no intentions of changing anytime soon. I have never had an instance where I didn't get 4g coverage of remember the last time I dropped a call. I never had any issues so I never had to contact verizon so I can't rate their customer service.

No reason to jump ASAP. AT&T and VZW tend to play a game of tag with each other. VZW will match (or get very close) to AT&T's plans soon. Patience.

That's up for debate. I read on CNET just now that the Verizon CEO still says phone subsidies are in their favor (no kidding when average joe keeps paying for the phone after the contract is up). Plus they won't give the Edge plan to just anyone. Only those with good credit.

I think my family will probably stay with Verizon. My dad works for one of the big accounting firms and gets a 20 or 25% discount. It's about $250 for three iPhones (one 5 and two 4Ses), a dumb phone, and an iPad 4th gen (where my mom turns off LTE...) with 6gb of data. And we all mostly use wifi when possible.

This times 100.

I new England there is a night and day difference between VZW and AT&T, the latter being superior. Better signal, more LTE,etc. I am not talking about looking at maps. I am talking about driving around different states/highways/parks and actually using our phones. There really isn't much of comparison.

I live in Orange County, CA and have AT&T. One of my closest friends just left AT&T for Verizon with the $60 plan. Bars-wise most of the places tend to show an extra bar with Verizon. However, once you use the phones, I prefer AT&T. My friend sounds tinny and different on his Verizon 5S. He had an AT&T iPhone 5 and always sounded more "natural" in my mind. Other than one tiny section of Temecula, SoCal has always been good to me for AT&T.
