So I've been wanting to switch to verizon from att for awhile now.

My current ATT Plan :
15gb data - 3 lines = $145 (before taxes & fees & device payments)

Verizon Unlimited :
3 Lines = $170 (before taxes & fees & device payments)

So screw that.

I use about 6-10 gb a month.

I might just go with the 8gb plan with verizon and add a GB as i need it ($15/gb)
That'll be $130 (before taxes & fees & device payments & Data Boost)

They really need to add back an XL plan.

I would def go to T-mobile if it didnt stink in my area / my house

But trying to price a plan on t-mobile site is a nightmare. worst designed site ever.

$80 for the plan, $20 for a line access fee, + tax. It is very misleading in a world where t-mobile, cricket, etc give you an unlimited plan that is the actual price out the door.

That's still not unlimited... Just like in Japan, once you hit 7GB of 4G in a month (or 10 in the USA) your phone's data slows waaaaay down to the point of being useless. And then they charge ridiculous costs for an extra gig or two.
It's 22gb. 10gb is for tethering

This is nice, but Nothing beats Tmo "Jump on demand". I'll never switch

How would this work if I switch from att? I've been with att since 2009.

I currently have a iPhone 7 plus 128gb.

Anyone know how switching carriers and doing monthly installments work?

Thanks

Sorry for getting off topic but

Does anybody know if any US carrier offers international roaming on PREPAID plans?
(I mean real intl roaming, not just canada and mexico)

Thanks!

Remember when the unlimited data plan was $30/mo? Pepperidge Farms remembers.

remember when there was no hulu, netflix, prime video, spotify, pandora, 4k youtube, livestream, facetime, online gaming? pacific bell remembers.. the use of Internet is an evolving platform...look how the telcos are coming around in full circle offering back unlimited datas..

It is unlimited.
Indeed. Everyone is trying to find the gotchya in this. There isn't one.

No carrier offers legit home ISP-level unlimited (not even home ISPs at this point). The de-prioritization clause exists with all carriers. It's not like at 22.1 gig, the data goes dial-up. It *may* be slowed as to not ruin everyone else's connectivity, but would only be invoked if data use volume is grim. I have T-Mo unlimited, and the clause is there too, but they have never invoked throttling. Verizon has quite a large pipe, so I'd think they have even less of a need to slow heavy users.

It's as unlimited as 2017 can offer. I'm in.

They did not say you can only use 22GB.
Yep. Those are soft limits, things will continue to work as you exceed 50gigs, etc.

Everyone is trying to twist the T&C to say there is a limit. There isn't a limit, there are just measures in place to prevent nerds from torrenting terabytes on their telephone. Anyone should understand the logic with that, despite knowing everyone wants an LTE buffet for themselves and nobody else.

They (T-Mobile etc.) roll the taxes and fees into the final price. Verizon stated $65 plan + $20 line access + taxes. How is that not clear?
Did you read what you wrote? $65 + $20 = $85 + taxes. The deal is $80 unlimited, not $85 isn't it? Doesn't sound very clear to me.

So its $65 base + $20 access fee, $85 total before setting up autopay for $5 discount to $80 monthly. Not sure why autopay cannot be set to credit card.

I think the potential dealbreaker is that corp discounts do not apply ( NO idea why), my Wells Fargo discount is 27% off voice, 20% off data.

right now we pay 265 a month all in and debating on leaving Verizon still for T-Mobile.

we are holding onto 3 grandfathered unlimited lines with 1 2gb line and a flip phone line.its 265 a month after corporate discount.

T-Mobile offered 5 unlimited lines for 200 a month all in and 5 150 dollar Visa gift cards for ever line coming over.

I don't see how this new plan is a good deal vs T-Mobile other than better network,it's still way more money over them.

Seeing some information that auto-pay discount only applies if debit or e-check is used (not with credit cards). Between that and apparently no corporate discounts (aside from military/veterans it seems), it might not be as good of a deal for some that might have limited plans that are still enough for them and are potentially cheaper.

I am not looking for the cheapest service available. I wouldn't have a problem using a debit card to pay. For us, the best unlimited coverage with tethering makes it a great deal.

Just now switched. Single line. Had the 12GB plan that cost $80 a month. The new plan is $65 per month.

So a no brainer for me.

Has anybody gone over the 22gb limit yet?
I wonder how's the speed..

I'm currently in safe mode with a XXL plan.

Does anybody have T-Mobile & actually like it though? I've never heard anything good about t-mobile in my area - scranton/wilkes-barre pa.

It seems its only good for major cities?
