Here's the answer from Verizon's website.

Can I use my Verizon Wireless 4G SIM in more than one device?

Yes, the Verizon Wireless 4G SIM card contains all of your subscriber information, so the SIM card is portable and can be used in any Verizon Wireless-certified 4G device. All usage will be billed to the account associated with the 4G SIM card.

Nice find! They must of change this some what recently in the FAQ.

@tortri

This would cost a lot more with a single account instead of adding a line to a family plan right? (29.99 for 450 minutes + 29.99 for unlimited data = 60?)

This too..

"4G LTE Device Not Purchased from Verizon*Wireless:
You may activate any 4G LTE device that has been certified by Verizon*Wireless to be compatible with our 4G LTE network, including devices not purchased directly from Verizon*Wireless."

http://youreguide.vzw.com/legal-customer-agreement/

You simply take your VZW sim card and put it in said device to "activate" it on their 4G LTE network.

At least now they acknowledge it and accept it instead of not acknowledging it and people moving their iphone data plan to their ipad 3's had to play them. :-D

I honestly never looked at a single line account because I'm on a family plan but what you said does sound correct.

Hi, can i sell my vzw lte phone now and keep my sim and it will stay active to put in a new vzw lte phone ?

1) You can keep a Verizon unlimited plan even with a contract upgrade. Once you have it you have it as long as you keep a data plan. If they screw up and put you on tiered they'll even roll you back to unlimited if you call customer service.

2: If you can find someone that will transfer an existing line of service to you then you can do it, although Verizon treats it pretty much like a new account from a setup standpoint, ie: credit check, etc.

I have 5 lines on Verizon and have been a VZ customer since the late 80's when they were Bell Atlantic. I've had lots of dealings with them so I know them well. Now if I could only diminish my $350 a month cell bill!

What I'd like to try is adding another line of service to my family share plan and whether they'll let me add unlimited data then to what is essentially a new line, when the master billing line has unlimited. $9.99 + $29.99 for the data plan less my 20% corporate discount would be fine with me for unlimited LTE. Alas though I have 5 lines on my plan which is supposedly VZ's maximum on a personal account (not including data only devices)

VZ just recently announced they will kill your unlimited plan if you upgrade using the subsidized price. I'll have to find the article, but it came through about 2 weeks ago. They ONLY way you will get to keep your grandfathered unlimited plan is paying FULL price for any new phone or tablet etc..

I found someone that had a unlimited plan, purchased the Droid Razor LTE phone at the $199 back several months ago so have a 2 year deal I pay basically $75/mo taxes and all for unlimited data. Since Verizon signed a deal with the FCC to bring broadband to all the rural area's they cannot penalize you for using the LTE sim card in ANY device you wish. I moved mine to my iPad day one, have used it without any issues ever since. I've used as much as 30gig and as little as 7gig per month with zero throttling and zero emails or texts warning about any limits.

I have to admit I could probably stay within the 10gig limits, but the biggest data usage has come from the navigation apps that load up maps as I drive. Two days in a city I'd never been in ate up nearly 3 gigs of data, 5.6gigs in total over a weekend. Either way it's how LTE should be. I may eventually sell this unlimited plan, but right now it's just to damn useful to have the freedom to actually use the speed of LTE and enjoy my iPad outside of the house and away from the various wifi hotspots I use indoors.

The unlimited data featured lines are also no longer going to be transferable, especially the ones on individual plans. Because Assumption of Liability requires that the assuming party choose and EXISTING plan and as of this June 28, the only plan that will be available will be the ShareEverything plan (I like to call it the "Everything BUT Unlimited Data Plan"); which will have never featured unlimited data, rendering it incompatible.

All Nationwide, Loyalty, and FamilyShare plans will be grandfathered in on June 27th.

Can someone guide me in the right direction?

I currently have iPhone 4 with Verizon

Unlimited data
450 minutes
Unlimited text
insurance

And iPad 3 with Verizon

1gb monthly $20

I want unlimited 4G on my iPad...

Can I somehow add the iPad to my unlimited plan and have :
450 mins/unlimited text/ unlimited data between iPhone and iPad? And then cancel the insurance?

Or should I buy a 4G device and swap the sim into my IPad? And then I am guessing you add another line for the iPhone????? Or I don't know what you guys do then?

Please help me, it will be greatly appreciated and I want to do this before it's too late on June 28th.
Thanks

Buy a 4G phone and swap sim cards. Then take the sim out of the 4G phone and put it in your iPad. Phones with micro-sim would be easier. Otherwise you would need to cut your sim.

The only drawback is you will loose your phone # to your iPad.

Can I get rid of Insurance and Text messaging now without it automatically changing my unlimited to tiered. And if I can, Should I?

And also, what do I do for a phone after? Can I just add another line for my phone with the same carrier? Or will that affect my unlimited?

Oh, and ONE MORE QUESTION (Im very sorry, but thanks so much): When buying a Droid Razr / Droid Razr Maxx / Galaxy Nexus? How can I check to make sure the ESN is clean and that it has a Micro Sim card?

If I buy a phone that is missing its Micro sim card, will Verizon still allow me to activate the phone?

Once again Thank you so much!

Get rid of insurance and text before you put the SIM card in the iPad. It's harder to make any changes after you have the SIM card in the iPad.

You can add another line with a new # and use your current phone on the new line.

Can't help you there. My only suggestion is to call Verizon first.

If I buy a phone that is missing its Micro sim card, will Verizon still allow me to activate the phone?

Take the phone to a Verizon store and ask for a SIM card.

If I buy a 4G phone and activate it on my main line, then put it in my iPad, then my iPad becomes my main line. (right?) So can I then add a new line with that SAME 4G phone that I bought even though I'm technically using its SIM card in my Ipad? Or is this 4G phone I buy on eBay just for the sim card?
