I know this is the preorder thread, but I have to asked folks that's gotten their phones are any of you having service issues with these phones? I'm reading way to many reports of dropped service with these phones and making me not wonting to pre-order the Pro Max for hubby & I.
I’ve had my service drop completely. I had to do the old “airplane mode” trick. I’ve only had my Pro a little over 24 hours, so I’m going to see if it does it again. I think it’s the 5G chips that they have with the phones.
I had this happen today. But this also happened with my android phone at the same place. The place interesting enough is right by the corporate Verizon store. Every time I am around that store, I tend to drop all connections.
I was wrong. The phone is shipping next day air. Its the accessories that shipping 2 days.
What is the airplane mode trick? Mine has dropped completely numerous times and there have been times I tried to make a call with full service only to have call failed pop up!
Cut off WiFi and Bluetooth, then cut on airplane mode for 15 seconds then cut airplane mode off.
Hmm ok. I clicked cellular service off then back on. Seemed to have work.
I got the shipping email, but when I track it, it just says UPS label created... So I still don’t know when it’s shipping or arriving...
My husband’s Pro Max says it’s on 5G, but his data speeds are slower than mine on LTE. He had some connection issues with WiFi initially, but when I reset network settings and put him on our 5G band, that issue went away. Apparently the 5G data speed issue is widespread on Verizon and there isn’t an ETA on when that will be resolved. A ticket has been opened and we were told to expect an update in 24-72 hours.
I just checked this morning and UPS says it’ll be delivered by 9pm today.
Just looked the tracking and it shows 1045am-245pm
Also interesting to see the origin scan was from Louisville, KY at 230am this morning, and it's out for delivery 7 hours later.
Arrival scan in Los Angeles: 0535. Still says tracking for a 1630 delivery. Hoping it's early...
Yep, mine was originally scanned at 233am this morning in Louisville KY, too, and just delivered at 1059am.
Tell you what, unless verizon or apple gives me a better trade in Value for an 10 month old iPhone 11. I won't be upgrading to a 12. giving me less that half what I paid for an iPhone 11 128gb. I was insulted on the trade up offer. I'll just wait til iPhone 14 or 15 then.
It'll just go down with time. My husband and I just bought 12 Pro's... We upgraded from 6s's... We also wanted to wait until Verizon had a deal going for already current customers without adding a new line (stupidest thing ever)... When we placed our order for our 12 Pro's, Verizon had a deal going for 'trade in your phone and get up to $440 off with upgrade'... So we looked into it... They wanted $24...
