For people activating, I've never once been able to do automated activation just by clicking Activate. I always call the activation number on the old phone and this has never failed me. It's also automated so no one will answer and there is no hold time.

Turn off Find My Phone on the old phone. Turn off the new phone totally. Call 1-877-807-4646 from your old phone or any other phone. Follow prompts (you'll need Verizon passcode). When the number "unexpectedly" hangs up on you (if you're calling from the same number you're activating), then your new phone is activated and you can turn it on. I don't know why they can't warn you that if you're calling from the same number you are activating, it will drop the call. Worked fine today for us.
Thanks for this. An annual problem that you have solved!

Both of mine are delivered.

I have a good friend who works at the Tampa Verizon center. She told me a rumor going on there that pertained to the “R” address “glitch”. Needless to say, this was intentional, according to my source. She stated that Verizon put an “r” in many customers addresses to prevent them from making any changes to the package via FedEx / UPS My Choice. It “tricks” the system so to speak, preventing us from placing holds or redirects with our packages.

It has arrived!

Does the new iPhone come with a SIM card or eSIM only? Do you need to insert the old SIM from your old iPhone into the new iPhone?
I didn't need to do anything specifically related to a sim card, but my old phone was also a Verizon phone. Just followed the steps to set up and activate the new phone. I ended up just setting it up using the old phone and received a text link from Verizon to activate the new phone.

This sounds very odd. Both UPS and FedEx allows the shipper to place restrictions on packages. Why do they need to "trick" the system?

I hate UPS 😣 still no delivery or any clue Where my phone is right now. Status hasn’t updated since yesterday 😒

Anyone with a 13 Pro 512 GB noticing the phone gets pretty hot when you do anything on it even briefly? 🤔

Finally got a hold of someone at UPS, it is still out for delivery. I'm usually one of the first stops on the route but this time I'm apparently the very last stop on the route. The driver put a note that it is running late but still arriving tonight😕. This was my first attempt/last attempt of doing it online. Back to in person from now on, this is a disaster.

I am a Verizon customer, and I never preordered. I stopped by a Verizon store on the way home from work late this afternoon. I traded my 256MG iPhone Xs for a new 256 MG blue iPhone 13 Mini, the last one left in stock, which is what I wanted to buy anyway. They told me that all of the iPhone 13 Pro's that were in stock were sold out within the first hour this morning.

I received a much more generous trade in in 2021 than I was offered in 2018 when I bought the Xs, which cost me a bundle at the time. They had only offered me a measly $100 on my previous 6s (of which I had just installed a new $29 battery), which I didn't bother to trade. It is just as well I didn't, as I ended it sending it to my daughter after he old one quit working. She is still using it now.

I’m beyond pisssed at UPS
I had so many plans for this weekend and it’s ruined now because of time.
Yeah I’m pissed at ups too! And Verizon for screwing up my address. UPS just changed my order to pick up at the hub. The note says I requested it but I did not. Now I have to take time off work Monday to go get it. I work from home, I’m here all day! Ugh! Never had a problem pre-ordering in the past, I don’t understand how it got so screwed up this time.

At 9:15pm, the UPS truck turned in a cul-de-sac in the community 3 houses away from mine. I ran out to chase him but realized it is late at night, I probably shouldn't approach a delivery driver and he was too far away. Now I'm still waiting...and it was three houses away from me.
