It will give me 650 credit and then 360 in credit over 3 yearsNot sure but Apple’s store is only showing Unlimited Ultimate and Unlimited Plus, which is really dumb. $1,000 for Ultimate, $820 for Plus. But spread out over 3 years which is absurd. Any older plan… who knows 🤷🏻♂️

I'm tired of device payments, so I am skipping this year to pay off my current iPhone 14 Pro Max and paying full price for the 17.
You can still pay it off early.I never trade in and pay off my devices at the start of the new year. Will say 1k offer is not bad for trade in but not being stuck on Verizon for 3 years to get my 1k back.
anyway can't wait to order new phone on Friday.
Last year it was the new plans only IIRCAre there any trade in offers if keeping an old plan? If so what are the best?
Yeah I tried that last year with an old (working) iPhone 4 I still have. Same thing, $0. Turns out the “any iPhone” was a lie.I looked up an old IPhone 7 in the any trade in ..in any condition clause and it is showing $0 and recycle only. IPhone 8 is showing the same. Guessing the any trade in has to have a & value
FYI — if you’re on a device payment plan they includes a monthly discount (credits) from a previous trade-in, you will lose the remaining monthly credits if you pay it off early. They really want you to be paying them every month.I still owe $360 on my iPhone 14 Pro so I would need to pay this off before I can upgrade to another phone, including (I assume) the iPhone 16 Pro. When I pay off my phone, is it still eligible for a trade-in credit? I'll probably pre-order the iPhone 16 Pro through Verizon (vs. Apple and using ACMI) but just want to make sure this is the best route to go.
Looking at current deals the iPhone 7 qualifies if you are buying an S24 or Pixel but not for a 15. iPhone 4 even qualifies for those.Yeah I tried that last year with an old (working) iPhone 4 I still have. Same thing, $0. Turns out the “any iPhone” was a lie.
You don’t get a discount but you can still trade in your current phone, right? Because you’ve paid off 50%?Verizon is diabolical for making you do a 36 month term for phones. I’m on the 14PM and won’t get a discount if I get the 16PM despite having the 14PM for two years.
Agreed. I did the math. For me, it would increase my plan cost by around $40 a month and has less included plan benefits (such as the Disney+/Hulu/ESPN+ bundle).I'm skipping Verizon's nonsense this go around. I'd be forced into a more expensive plan that ends up costing me $20 more per month. For an extra $10 a month, and a two year plan versus three, I'll be trading in with Apple.
Any trade-in credit requires you to be on one of their new plans. You don’t get a discount but you can still trade in your current phone, right? Because you’ve paid off 50%?
Looks like $1k off for 14 or newer if on the Unlimited Ultimate plan.
I was worried the trade-in offers would be restricted to the new (aka crappier) plans and it appears that was the case.
Apple. Why does that seem odd?Dumb question but after reading though apples site and ordering through Apple on the Verizon payment plan do I trade the phone into Apple or Verizon. It seems like it says Apple but seems odd to me
You’ll pay the $233.26, return the phone, and then they’ll dismiss the balance. So when it says this, I pay the $233.26...then I can trade the phone in for the promo pricing/credit, I am good? Or do I have to pay off the entire device in order to even be eligible for the promo prices on the unlimited plans? Thanks!

I am on the older Play More plans, and we were eligible for the the trade in credit promo last year. Seems like VZ changed it this year, unless they update the fine print between now and Friday.Last year it was the new plans only IIRC
Yea it’s the ultimate ultimate plan. T-Mobile changes their plan for max trade in to the Go5G planI am on the older Play More plans, and we were eligible for the the trade in credit promo. Seems like VZ changed it this year, unless they update the fine print between now and Friday.
But can I use this phone for the trade in promo? Or the phone has to be 100% paid off?Apple. Why does that seem odd?
You’ll pay the $233.26, return the phone, and then they’ll dismiss the balance.
Paying the $200 only lets you trade in early. Paying off fully is required for the promotionBut can I use this phone for the trade in promo? Or the phone has to be 100% paid off?
