Verizon iPhone 5 Preorder Status Thread

Hasn't Shipped Yet 🙁

My order that I placed on Friday morning at about 8PST, hasn't shipped yet even though the confirmation email that they sent me said deliver by 9/21. The status says its still processing.

not that YOU would know but if you scan the package today it will tell you that it has a future delivery request.. and not allow for the signature..

earlier you said that they were allowed to do it in certain areas, now you are saying they could be accidentally released.. 🙄

I was by both FedEx mgmt and a VZW rep that they could come in early...whether they were correct or not is not for me to say...and YOU should also know that if you VAN scan a package or attempt a POD on a package with a future delivery request scan on it, it will not show up on a Powerpad, thus still making a delivery...

I'm in location W779201, 50xxx and I just received my tracking number about 30 minutes (9:45am PST) ago.

yay! Me too! Also location W779201, order 50xxx, shipping from Memphis to Oregon. Leaving Memphis today and scheduled for Friday arrival. Ordered 2 16GB black. Never got a shipping email or anything. Just checked Verizon's order update and found it out. Now can track it through FedEx to Oregon. 🙂

That's what I keep telling myself. There is a UPS hub about 15 from my place in West Nashville. Thinking it would also go through there. At least you have been charged...

Im in South Nashville. No charge yet

Yay! I just refreshed my status and it's now shipped!

Verizon now has my ship date set for 9/20, but I'm assuming that's now the actual ship date and not the delivery date, because FedEx has me listed for 9/21.

Not going to cap anything, there's enough of those on this thread by now lol.

I'm W779301 order placed at 2:01AM CDT and shipping to Lincoln, NE if anyone is keeping track.

Are you saying the "future delivery"request does not show up on the power pad?

Just got this lovely email! (Ordered white 32GB just after midnight PST.)

Interestingly, my "more reliable" status page says the expected ship date is 9/20. I don't know if that's referring to shipping or delivery date, but my FedEx page says it shipped today and is slated to arrive on 9/21. No clue where 9/20 plays into this, but I don't care.

I'll be quite happy if the phone indeed arrives before 3pm on Friday, as I'll be heading out of town for the weekend 🙂 It would be even more awesome if it came a couple hours early so that I have time to set it up!

Another note - the pending charge (for full amount) seems to have disappeared from my credit card. However, I do have the receipt on MyVerizon and I did just get the tracking info.

same as me. I find it weird that our packages are coming from Memphis. Since we are closer to china I would have expected a warehouse on the west coast for us.

I wouldn't doubt that they have been sitting in the warehouse for the past week or 2 weeks though

Not really...I said FedEx earlier...added VZW rep, which is true...and there has been situations where a can of freight has been brought to a station that was not supposed to(mixed freight for other stations, packages meant to be delivered days later, etc)

Right. Some newer ones may be on the way from China, but I assure you that Apple had a large stock in the warehouses prior to making their 21st announcement.

I have been searching through pages of the official verizon preorder thread but I dont see anyone talking about business orders.

Anybody have any information? I ordered mine right at 4AM when it became available and my status just shows awaiting inventory

slightly off topic but at least Verizon is pushing their cases & accessories out before the iphone 5...just got my otterbox defender..

Since I won't have my iPhone 5 for a few days it's good to know how it'll feel in my hands.

Actually feels like an otterbox commuter but more sturdy. No rubber grip back which is good as well. it'll hold up well until I get the life proof case.

Obviously asking if an otter box is bulky is like asking does a zebra have stripes.. BUT I got an otterbox for the 4s and it was way too bulky.. does the otterbox for the 5 seem thinner at least?
