Worried about how the switching will go since I know in the past when I upgraded and switched an LTE phone to my number I had to use two different sim cards and that was only two months ago, now they are telling me I only need one nano sim card.

This way I'm able to view the activation mistakes of others and be prepared for it.

Don't know how much this will help but here's my situation.

I ordered around 12:15 am PST time on 9/14
Got my confirmation email at 12:30 am
Location #: W779001

Finally my card was charged at about 5pm yesterday.
My status is "Your Order Has Been Sent For Processing"
and it says it will ship by 9/21/2012

I called today to see if everything was going smoothly.
I was told that it will ship out tomorrow 9/19.
So I should have my tracking information by tomorrow :D
2 day shipping
Arrives 9/21


Just have to wait patiently for now :rolleyes:

Oh I like that story, so if mine shipped 9/18...maybe arrive 9/20 ;)

Verizon told me that they only verify the zip code. I had similar concern because my wife's name is on the account and my name is on the card I used. They said no problem.

So you should be fine.

I called and they told me not to worry that I'd be getting it on the 21st since I ordered on the 14th an hour after EST time preorder opening.

Whoa tiger its ok... I ordered at 3:01 on the 14th EST and I just got my confirmation hour and a half ago. They said shipping confirmations could come as late as thursday night for friday delivery...

Same boat as you... I'm just going to chill out. Although I'm sooo tired of checking the status every 3 minutes and it saying "It's in process" or whatever......
 
I preordered a white 16g and it's on it's way here on 9/21. I decided I want a 32g instead, so is there a way I can just go to my local Verizon store and trade my 16g out?

I had a 4S but I sold it so I tried using one of our old BB and that was to painful so now I am using my sisters old Incredible 2

Most likely not on launch day they won't have enough in stock. But you have 14 days to do that, although you have to pay $35 restocking fee.

When my Amex charge got flagged for fraud is didn't say Verizon at first. It said the following:

Transaction Date: 09/17/12

Merchant: CELLCO PARTNERSHIP

When I called AMEX only then did it say Verizon.
 
I ordered mine at 12:15am EST got my tracking this morning then checked about minutes ago, its in west chester PA. My card hasn't been charged yet though.

Ive been on AT&T with every iPhone since the original... I kept bouncing back and forth between my upgrade and my wifes, each time giving her last year's model when i bought the new one.
Have had awful service with ATT, and finally jumping out.

Sold my iphone 4S and my wife's iPhone 4 to buy 5's from VZW. Cant wait....
Im using a godawful Samsung tracfone.... it has T9...... this is hell

iPhone 4, then it got stolen this june and I've been using a Blackberry ever since. I hate it. NEED MY IPHONE haha no but I'm definitely happy to go back to the iPhone. I'm also switching over from AT&T. Boy was that a mistake.

I placed my order around 10AM eastern time 9/14. My email says 9/21 delivery (and online status shows 9/21 ship), but the status hasn't changed from "order is in process" since I placed my order.

I have no pending charge on my card, but called my CC company and they had no holds or fraud alerts. I called Verizon over the weekend and they said all was fine.

But I'm starting to wonder why I don't have tracking yet.

Its only Tuesday, when I placed my order over the phone friday am, they said it would probably be wednesday before I would see anything way of being charged, tracking etc.
 
Ordered mine at 5am Central and still no charge, i dont even see a pending charge so i called the VZW Online number and they told me they had already authorized it, but sometimes that auth doesnt show up on the online bank statement
 
Got my tracking number this morning shipping from Memphis,TN with a delivery date of 9/21 by 3:00pm!

I'm sorry for everyone's trouble it would have been nice to see everyone in the same boat.
