Verizon iPhone 5 Preorder Status Thread

This is the first time I've preordered from someone besides Apple...

Previously, Apple provided us with a form we could download, sign, and leave on the front door if we knew we weren't going to be home. Then FedEx would just leave the package...

Is there a similar form I can use for my Verizon order? Or should I just type out a note with the tracking number?
 
havent received any emails!

I preordered mine on the 14th and completed my order about 10 minutes after the site was up. I haven't received any emails AT ALL about my order although the people at verizon have assured me that it's coming on the 21st but it's hard not to freak out! My card was charged around 6:30 PM central time last night but I haven't received any shipping information (or any emails at all, like I said.) I called and confirmed that I had given them the correct email and everything was right but I still find it odd that I haven't received ANYTHING. I'm new to Verizon and had to go through the credit check but when I called, they said that I was approved and yadayada. I'm just freaking out here.:(:confused: my delivery location is 1456801. Has anybody else had this problem?

Seems to me that this is the Northeast shipping center. I've seen very few, if any confirmations of a tracking number coming out of here. Seems a majority of us are still in the same uneventful boat.

Since I won't have my iPhone 5 for a few days it's good to know how it'll feel in my hands.

Actually feels like an otterbox commuter but more sturdy. No rubber grip back which is good as well. it'll hold up well until I get the life proof case.

Did you order the case through Verizon? I did and it the order says CAS APPLE IPHONE4S OTTER DEFEN Worried I will get the 4S case instead of the 5.

Are you 100% on that? When the Samsung Stratosphere came out, it was the first to use microSIM. There was a release date and if one attempted to activate the microSIM prior to release date, Verizon's system threw an error saying the sim was not recognized. Apparently they didn't update the database until launch.

people, don't get worked up over not being charged yet. I show no preauth and no charge yet either, but my account "available" balance has gone down on my debit card. Credit cards may show nothing at all. Even though Verizon doesn't have my money yet, I have a package on it's way and I just had a call from Verizon wireless because they needed my husband's v-key for porting his phone number. Everything is a go for me and I still show no official charge either. Maybe your bank just doesn't update until later or doesn't show all preauth charges.

And as a new Verizon wireless customer, I have to say the customer service rep that called me was SO nice and patient as I tried to figure out this v-key thing. I'm super happy with this experience with them.

In the past I have just printed off the tracking info, wrote I release FedEx to leave the shipment, sign it and tape it to my door. It has worked in the past but it is up to the driver if they feel safe leaving the package.
 
My current phone is an LG flip phone (work provided). I chose it because I thought it was the perfect size but I decided that I wanted a smart phone and work has been cutting back expenses so no chances of a smart phone there (and they are a blackberry shop - which I had for a while).

So obviously it'll be quite a change to have an iPhone.

I haven't received any emails either, I did write down my order number though so I am tracking it through their website. I haven't been charged for the phone yet, but I presume that will happen on Wednesday or Thursday.

I'm D772001! I ordered a 64GB black and I have a tracking number. I was emailed it a few hours ago.

Yes, that actually has happened to a buddy of mine. He contacted Verizon and was assured that his order was in the system with a scheduled delivery of 9/21. It's a strange thing, but if you have gotten similar assurances from Verizon, I wouldn't worry.

As an aside, how did you get your delivery location # without a confirmation e-mail?

I'm from Lincoln, NE. My location is also N211601 my order # is 40xxx. I believe our iPhones will be on the same shipment!!

I haven't received any shipping email from Verizon as of right now. Sadly.
