Sorry if this has been recently posted, but the thread got out of control and I couldn't keep up on my way home. I had the typical call with *611 who said to call my credit card company (AMEX) and that they hadn't received payment yet. I ordered through verizonwireless.com at 5:41am on the 14th and immediately received a confirmation email and a pre-auth on my card, but no change since. I called AMEX and they said they authorized the pre-auth request but have not been asked for the full payment yet. So I tried the 866 internet department number on here and was told this by the rep:
-They are working from 5am-after midnight every day trying to process payments. 16GB were the first to get authorized because there were MANY, MANY less of them than the 64GB, which overall will be the last to be authorized. They said that it should be authorized tonight because most will ship with 2-day shipping.
Other than that, they said that for the most part, payments haven't been a problem, just the sheer number of them and the fact that the most expensive one was the most ordered. THEY DO NOT PLAN ON HAVING TO PUSH BACK PHONES THAT WERE ORDERED BEFORE THE ORIGINAL CUT OFF TO BE RECEIVED ON LAUNCH DAY (CUT OFF WAS AROUND 8AM).
I am in NJ, ordered a black 64GB (unsub), have a location of D771101.
