Verizon iPhone 5 Preorder Status Thread

This is normal. FedEx has their main logistics center in Tennessee. Large shipments like this get staged in a FedEx main warehouse and go out to distribution centers from there.

Easier to bring millions of units into the main location and then go from there. It's called logistics :)

This is killing me.

Ordered 32MB black on apple.com at 3:15 eastern. Ordered 64MB black over the phone with Verizon around 10AM (Friday for both).

Late this morning found my shipment from Apple on UPS.com. I think that was the first time I took a breath in a few days. Delivery scheduled for the 21st by 3PM. (BTW: no official update from Apple yet!)

Got nothing from Verizon except "we've received your order and it is in process." Of course the phone I ordered on Verizon is mine. I'm happy my wife's phone is in process but come on Verizon, show a little love!!

Just had to get that off my chest.
 
Dang, this is a good week for me! First I had a very successful job interview (pretty sure I got it) and now the wife and I's phones coming this Friday in time for her birthday! Woot :3
 
My order on 9/14 shows the order location code "0862001" with an order # & im n GA. The verizon status page says "processing" and has expected ship date of 9/21 but my order confirmation shows a delivery date of 9/21. Adding to the confusing, I got a shipping confirmation (same location code but different order #) email that says the order shipped Sunday night (9/16) but when I try to track it there is no shipping data found. My credit card only shows a pending charge for Verizon with the same order location code of 0862001 as of 9:45pm. Im hoping that it will arrive on or b4 9/21 based on everythg ive read here
 
Well to give credit where it's due, it does seem like Verizon is working overtime to get this thing done if people are still seeing charges go through at this point tonight
 
They're working late tonight at Verizon order location N215401: My credit card just got the authorization for the pending transaction, within the last few minutes. Verizon's website has also updated to the "Your order has been sent for processing." status with the blanked out ship date.

For reference: 16 GB Black iPhone 5, ordered around 9 AM EDT on Friday, delivery date in my order confirmation was 9/21.
 
Alright, alright... It looks like you all are getting your phones on Friday. And I'm happy for you, really, I am... But where's all my people with the Oct 5th delivery estimates?! We need to keep each other updated cuz I'm getting desperate!

That's what happens when your order is sent for processing. You will get the actual ship date (likely 9/20, for delivery on 9/21) when they hand it over to FedEx.

I wish I could... but I have this little thing called a job that prevents me from doing a lot of things I wish I could do. LOL... I might send my husband out to stand in some lines though if he's off.
 
Ordered 32gb black at 6am on Friday. Had $1 authorization over the weekend and up until sometime between 8 and 10pm tonight where they have authorized the full amount (pending charges with Amex).

My order now has a normal order number, ship date of 9/21, no tracking # yet.

I'm in Cecil County, MD.
 
Little frustrating. Called just out of curiosity on its status, the phone rep said it would likely ship by the 21st and then expected delivery by Tuesday or Wednesday. I ordered the phone by 11am Friday the 14th.

I hope that's not accurate :/

No updates, just processing, then suddenly...

Received shipped email with FedEx tracking# Today. 9/18 @ 12:56PM:D
