Verizon iPhone 5 Preorder Status Thread

Considering there are a bunch of D772101s in the same boat, I'm not too worried. I called internet sales yesterday and they confirmed that my pre-order was fine and that my card would not be charged until the phone shipped. Like others have mentioned, my guess is that we're near a hub and they don't have to prioritize these shipments like ones that may have to travel further.

Im in the same situation but location D771001 and my order also includes a 16gb and a 64gb.

According to all the tracking information these phones are just being suffled around the memphis hub right now. Mine has been intransit since 1 am, but be going to Mars before it gets back to me :)
 
My shipping status says At Local FedEx facility, after it had been in transit for a few hours. But it still says it is in Memphis. Now it is in transit for the third time today...FedEx loves toying with us!

If I remember correctly from last year this happened too. They kept our phones at Memphis and other hubs around the country til Thursday night and then overnighted them to the local hubs.

Spoke with Verizon Internet Sales again. This morning I was told that my order was placed at 9:54am EST and that I missed the cutoff for the 9/21 delivery. I checked and I received my confirmation at 9:21am EST on 9/14, so I called again. This time, I was told that everything still shows a 9/21 delivery and while she can't guarantee it, that it looks as if it'll be Friday. She said it hasn't dropped for payment or shipment yet, but they are still processing the orders so it's basically a waiting game. She also informed me that a card issue would result in an email but no delays in the shipping process.

She did also say that the deliveries getting bumped are in or before the 8/28; 9/28; and 10/5 dates.

Guess we'll see!
 
Received shipping confirmation

Just another data point:

  • North/Central Florida
  • Ordered around 3:30 AM on Friday 9/14
  • Order had application issues, resolved those by 8:30 AM on 9/14, received order confirmation
  • Order Number is 107xxxx
  • Had no status updates at all via the 2 different Verizon pre-order status check pages until...
  • Received shipping confirmation at 11:18 AM today, 9/19, with delivery date of Friday 9/21 (as expected)

Hope this helps anyone in the same area as me, or maybe Florida in general!

So if I got my order that ships 9/26 I could get bumped to 9/21?:confused:

What really stinks is working at a verizon store and looking at all the preorders done before the 9/21 cut off and seeing how completely random it is some done before others some multi line orders going while some are single that have not been pushed through even my own has not been sent yet...called and basically got the run around which i was not happy about even when i told them i worked they were just like thanks for being apart of the team and hung up....so basically its random...

No expected shipping date for me anymore (it used to be 9/21), my card has been charged but is pending. I called Verizon but they didn't have a clue.

LOL thats how mine looks, like it just driving around Memphis.
 
Chicago Northern Suburbs is starting to get notifications

I am located in Chicagoland (Northern Suburbs) and my location was N211401.
For the order of two phones, I received two separate e-mails but one tracking number for both phones out of Memphis, TN scheduled to be delivered on Friday before 3PM.

Good luck and enjoy your phones out-there!

FYI - my plan I originally signed up was 60+40+40 ($140/mo).
It currently shows as 60+20+20 with monthly charge of $180/mo???... this part I could care less, I'll just call them and have them fix it - best part is: Friday it is! :)

According to what she said, it's possible, but I'd guess it isn't likely. See the first rep told me 9/26, but all status pages and confirmation show 9/21 for me. That's the difference between you and I.

Well crap... I knew I should have ordered online instead of waiting for that rep. to call me in the morning, she said oh yeah you can still preorder that late and get one on launch... yeah right.
 
Finally got my tracking number!!!

Ordered Friday 14th, 2:15am Central
Order Confirmation 3 hours later
CC Account balance and available balance differ this morning
Received tracking email at 10:30am Central
Package is in Memphis, Expected delivery by 3pm on Friday, 21st

Been on Android forever now; can't wait for my first iPhone (even though everything else I own is Apple)
