What? Me calm down? HA! It has taken me YEARS to fine tune panic to this level and you want me to just CALM DOWN?

Who wants to miss out on a good worry by doing something as irrational as staying calm? :confused:

Considering there are a bunch of D772101s in the same boat, I'm not too worried. I called internet sales yesterday and they confirmed that my pre-order was fine and that my card would not be charged until the phone shipped. Like others have mentioned, my guess is that we're near a hub and they don't have to prioritize these shipments like ones that may have to travel further.

I'm in a similar situation. credit charged at 1:40am EDT this morning, no tracking number yet.

Location: N215401
Placed: about 4:45am EDT on opening day
Pre-Order Number: really long
Placed: Special Verizon site for employees of my company (looks the same as the regular site, I just have to login through company firewall)

You're not alone. Delivery still claimed to be the 21st. I'm trying to be patient, its hard :)

*edit* tracking # received, yay!

All this talk and panicking about these phones being delivered had me killing massive hours at work all week, I have no problem with it lol. It's actually pretty entertaining.
 
I printed off a "I'm not here but please deliver" waiver from FedEx (hard to find - someone on M-R posted it awhile back I think for the 4S, Google Search found it...)

I am going to try to be here when the package gets delivered - it's coming from TN and says 3PM delivery time, but who knows.

Anyone done a similar thing with leaving a signed waiver to leave the package on the doorstep?
 
I wont be home on Friday I work for a living. Dose Fedex offer any sort of pre-sign form I looked at fedex and their was nothing? Also what are my chances of delivery on Thursday I am off on that day.

Thanks. I called internet sales and he said that lady had no idea what she was talking about. And in my account it's still showing as deliver date of 9/21. And that it's a technical issue going on why the 10/5 date is popping up.

Anyone with this location code had any movement? I ordered over phone at 3:20am Friday, September 14th. Called Verizon twice. First call they said would be delivered by 21st. Next time, All they could say was in process and shipping the 21st. No charges pending yet to debit card. Anyone have any insight?

The status "Your order has been sent for processing" with everything else blanked out is actually good news. It means they're getting your order ready to go out the door and it shouldn't be long (it was 8 hours for me, 3 hours for another person) before you get tracking information.

If your credit card website shows pending transactions/authorizations, you should see one now, or your available credit line should be adjusted accordingly. The actual charge of course will not post for several days.

I can second this. I had the fraud issue with Discover Card. Had to call yesterday morning around 9:00. They charged my card right then. I just got my shipping conformation at 11:20 this morning.

My time was 26 hours.

You should be good.
 
Very alarming news!

I heard from a very reliable source (Verizon VP) that:

1. No iPhone 5s will arrive on, or before Friday, September 21, and
2. The more you track your order, the further you get pushed down the queue.

What ever will I do? :confused:
 
Cast away movie would be really short if the airplane was filled with iphone 5. We would find tom hanks an hour after the airplane went down.

Both of my packages say that too so I'm hoping that means it's being shipped to local hubs bc from trends I've seen so far, 1am-2am is around the time that they're actually sending these packages out from Memphis to local hubs.

I'm concerned because:

1) My power button broke on my iPhone 4 yesterday - I REALLY need a new phone.

2) My current phone is on eBay and I'm going to have to ship it out on Monday before I leave on vacation.

That's why I need it on Friday :)

1) Everyone whose phone was supposed to be there on 9/21.. should be.

2) that is truly laughable that somehow tracking your package gets you pushed down in the queue.
