Sometimes. We have 2 delivery times for Fed Ex at my office.. Once in the morning by around 9:00-9:30 and once in the afternoon by 3:00.

Fed Ex has three delivery times available...

One before 8-8:30 a.m.
Another by 10:30 a.m.
and the last is by 3 p.m.

Your package could end up in your hands anywhere from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. based upon your fed-ex guy's route for the day. I'm rather certain everyone using Fed-Ex has the "by 3 p.m." shipping situation.
 
Same boat - CT Based. I am calling tonight around 6pm to check again. This will be my 4th phone call to them regarding this. I'm hopeing I can get someone who will give me some reassurance that it will be here on Friday rather than "You'll get it Monday or Tuesday." At least they told you they would amend it to 1 day shipping!

As much as I hate to say it, glad i'm not the only one still in limbo. :D Makes me feel better.

Gah, that is awful! I see a lot of responses to your original question, so we are definitely not alone.

It's tough to see this thread shift from everyone waiting for tracking numbers to people complaining about how Fedex is bouncing their phones around in distribution centers and hoping for early delivery.

Those of us still waiting for tracking numbers would LOVE to have that problem!
 
My status is still "we have received your order and it is in process". Ship date still says 09/21. Internet sales person said that they would be processing phones until midnight and would probably adjust my shipping to 1-day but I'm starting to lose hope here. Any words of comfort for me? Anyone else in my position still?

Yup same here, ordered at 4:38am, got the delivery confirmation email for 9/21/12. Still stuck on processing and no charge on my cc still. Location: D771001 also. Hoping to get shipping info soon.

Ya, it seems the local hubs dont give out there number. But if you ask a rep through the 800# to put you through to them they should. Just give ghem the address of your local hub and they should transfer you. Thats how I got through to my local Fed Ex.

When lady at the local FexEx told me to call when I see the package track to them I told her i didnt have there #. And the nice lady actually called me so it showed up on ID. That was the only way she could get around giving me the # without actually saying it. Weird but very nice of her.

Thanks for the advice! Got a nice lady at the local facility through the 800 number, I asked to get in touch with the facility and they transferred me, and she said to call Thursday night once the package has tracked to the facility as you stated above and she'll see what she can do.

Keeping my fingers crossed. But if not...oh well I know I tried.

Another week isn't too bad....since I'm more resigned to the fact I won't see my phone until I get back on the 28th....

Yep. When I had my 3rd gen iPad delivered earlier this year around 7:00PM I was a bit surprised. They've always been on the ball and pretty quick in the past. Each new release must be getting more overbearing I'm sure.
 
i am in the Long Island area as well. I have not received shipping info and i called vzw. Their cs rep stated that there was a "back order" on the white iPhone and i would not receive till sept 26th. I doubt this very much as I ordered at 315 am friday at launch. location number D771001

There are a lot of people with a lot of information - some of it wrong. Having worked at a call center once I know rumors make it around and misinformation gets spread by otherwise well meaning people.

Apple, Verizon, and Fedex are all pretty good at this logistics thing. They knew how many phones they could sell before having to push back delivery dates. Unless there's a complete breakdown in the system I wouldn't worry much if you were originally quoted 9/21 in your order confirmation..
 
Shipping Address Change?

Has anyone changed their shipping address thru Verizon after they have received their shipping confirmation and tracking number?

I ask because I called Verizon this morning to change the shipping address to my work address because I would not be home to sign for the package. They said sure, and changed it no problem.

However, after they processed it, the rep mentioned that because of the change, the package may be delayed a day due to fraud check, making the whole change moot!

Did anyone who made the change get this answer as well?

I called again to speak with a different rep and she assured me that it will be delivered the same day and it would not change.

Two contradicting answers, so I thought I'd check with the forum.
 
Long Island based. Location D771001 and order number 17XXXX. No movement on mine either. I suspect we're just geographically close to a distribution hub and wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see movement on our orders until tomorrow. I'm still a bit nervous, but my e-mail confirmation DID say I'd be receiving on 9/21 so I'll keep my faith in the system...

I know it is posted throughout this thread, but do you happen to have the number that you called? I would like to get some information from them. Also, what information did you have to give them? I'd like to be prepared.

I used (866) 338-7390 to call. I needed to provide my name, last 4 of SSN (just initially, to verify I was who I said I was), and the pre-order confirmation number. I would keep your order email confirmation open when you call just in case.
 
I think my phone has seen all there is to see in Memphis.

I remember last year, the FedEx guy didn't deliver my ip4s until after 430pm, close to 5pm. He apologized that he was late. He told me that majority of his deliveries were the iPhone and he was slammed. Hope history doesn't repeat itself. :eek:

thanks that makes me feel a lot better. along with the fact that a few of these people in the same order location who seem to live close have not recieved their info either.

i was going to chage mine but the rep told me you can not change it after being shipped... so i just took off work ;)

I'm still in the same boat as you and just called the internet sales department, the girl told me that everything was ok and that I was just "waiting in the system", that I was going to receive the tracking info email soon. Honestly, I'm also starting to lose hope as well. We'll see.

2. My $1 pending charge on my amex shows D771001 as in Warren,NJ. Pretty close to the city.

I'm also in the city, with D771001, order 16XXXX and no updates since last friday when I got the confirmation email.
