I sent a message to my credit card company before I got charged to make a note about a possible $800 charge from Verizon - sure enough they sent an email that it was triggered but they approved it since I had contacted them. This was Chase
 
Weird. Discoer is still "processing" my payment and yet Fedex has my package and everything(delivery is friday) should I be worried?

Or are peoples stuff still "proccessing"

my status on vzw.com is "sent to processing" ship date 9/17. card charged. tracking emailed to me


could care less what vzw has as the status..if you have your tracking # it doesnt matter.

thats verizons fault. not fedex...

verizon requires 1 failed attempt before you can pick it up at the fedex hub

My status is still "we have received your order and it is in process". Ship date still says 09/21. Internet sales person said that they would be processing phones until midnight and would probably adjust my shipping to 1-day but I'm starting to lose hope here. Any words of comfort for me? Anyone else in my position still?

Update from Verizon Rep

Just spoke with a Verizon rep from internet sales that said my order, which currently says "We received your order and it is in process" with no tracking info or credit card charge/preauth, will be updated approximately between 6-8:30pm tonight. They will first charge/verify, then will send out tracking info. There is the possibility this could be delayed into Thursday morning, however my delivery date of 9/21 still is correct. I ordered approx 8:15am eastern time on 9/14.

She said if I don't hear anything by 2pm eastern on Thursday 9/20 I should call back but despite no change in the order status from last Friday, I will still receive by 9/21.

So I am going to not waste any more time sitting here refreshing the order page / checking my billing and just wait till tomorrow. My productivity should increase tremendously...at least in the short term.

Long Island based. Location D771001 and order number 17XXXX. No movement on mine either. I suspect we're just geographically close to a distribution hub and wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see movement on our orders until tomorrow. I'm still a bit nervous, but my email confirmation DID say I'd be receiving on 9/21 so I'll keep my faith in the system..

I was about to post something very similar to you! I'm in MD (near DC). Exact same status, etc. I'm starting to stress a bit (hopefully what that rep told you is correct). Good to know I'm not the only one still without any payment taken or shipping info.

I ordered at 7AM ET, what about you?
 
damn that sucks i got my ipad 3 at 9:30 Am i think it was due to me having it shipped to my office. I think businesses get shipping sooner?

Sometimes. We have 2 delivery times for Fed Ex at my office.. Once in the morning by around 9:00-9:30 and once in the afternoon by 3:00.

I know it is posted throughout this thread, but do you happen to have the number that you called? I would like to get some information from them. Also, what information did you have to give them? I'd like to be prepared.

Still in the same position as you. Ordered a 16gb black on friday morning just after 10am eastern time. Status on the site still says "we received your order and it is in process." My location is N215401. Its good to know i'm not the only one still.
 
Just so you know, I hate all you people who have had their iPhones ship! :D I am in location D771101 and have seen NO action whatsoever. No credit card charges...zip, zero, nada. It still says estimated shipping date 9/21. I ordered around 6 AM on 9/14 and my order number is 100***. VZW told me I was preauthorized and everything looked good. *shrug* Oh well. I am supposed to be studying for a Biology quiz and I can't even concentrate. How pathetic are we? LOL :p

Edit: the order status says ship by 9/21, the confirmation email says deliver by 9/21. *shrug*
 
Does the tracking information eventually get updated and show a destination? I feel like my phone is just going around in circles in Memphis. :eek:

Memphis is the hub, so it goes from local facility to distribution facility, not uncommon when something is shipped from Memphis to show multiple Memphis entries. Since I live in Memphis ill probably have 5-6 entries alone saying Memphis.....

Same boat - CT Based. I am calling tonight around 6pm to check again. This will be my 4th phone call to them regarding this. I'm hopeing I can get someone who will give me some reassurance that it will be here on Friday rather than "You'll get it Monday or Tuesday." At least they told you they would amend it to 1 day shipping!

Credit card payments typically do not complete and post to your account for at least 2-3 business days after they are authorized and charged. So if your phone shipped today, you should see the payment post by maybe Friday or Monday.
 
no shipping info

i am in the Long Island area as well. I have not received shipping info and i called vzw. Their cs rep stated that there was a "back order" on the white iPhone and i would not receive till sept 26th. I doubt this very much as I ordered at 315 am friday at launch. location number D771001
