It's not hard to figure out.
Start out a search on FlightAware with the origin being KMEM (Memphis Airport) and the destination being the nearest airport to you.
For example, if you live in Houston, this is the search you'd use. Then you just have to find the flight operated by FedEx. There's your flight.
So to lend some hope to others.
I placed my order at 10:40AM on 9/14 and it wasn't until last night that they placed a pending charge on my card. I called verizon at 7:05PM and they said it was likely I wouldn't get my phone and then literally 5 minutes later I got an email with a tracking number!
I am scheduled for delivery tomorrow by 3PM!
Hope others have similar luck.
The suspense.
If, for any reason, in the next half hour, FedEx flight 945 crashes, I will not get a phone tomorrow.
Please don't mess up, pilot.
So, would it have gone through if you hadn't called in? More details please!
Mine is still in Memphis, FedEx only has one flight per day (4:06AM) to my nearest destination sort facility, but I got a phone cover today that did the same thing. So mine may be one of the last ones still in Memphis, but hopefully it'll be at my door around 11:15am like the case was today.
I think mine might be the same. FedEx says its departed Memphis but flightaware shows only one FedEx flight per day, at roughly 3:30am, to Tallahassee. So it's either flying out in the morning or it's already here. Either way I'll get it tomorrow.![]()
Is there a dedicated Vegas flight or do they just truck it in from PHX or LAX ?
As far as I am aware they are requiring at least one failed delivery before they will allow pickup. Otherwise there would be huge lines at the UPS/FedEx hubs.Earlier this year (March 2012) I pre-ordered (via Apple online) my iPad 3, I was able to get FedEx to HOLD my package for early morning p/u at my local FedEx distribution center on iPad 3 'roll out day' (03/16/12). I had hoped to do the same this time around with my scheduled 9/21 roll out day delivery of iPhone 5, but this time ordered from Verizon. I was disappointed to learn now from FedEx that Verizon's not allowing their iPhone 5 shipments to be held for p/u at FedEx offices, and that all iPhone deliveries must attempt deliver (at least once) to the shipping street address first.
I'm wondering now if I had purchased my iPhone 5 from Apple, AT&T (or another phone carrier) if my package could have been held for p/u at my local FedEx Distr. Center like I was able to do earlier this year with my iPad 3 package. Anybody know?![]()
2nd this, on the same flight
It arrived at the Salt Lake International Airport. I'm breathing again.
Oh Phoenix. I'll bet our phones are kickin' it on the plane right now.
Mine is just sitting at "destination sort facility". 30 minutes from my house. Maybe I will use some of that training I've gotten in the Army and go raid the FedEx hub.Our phones have touched down I say you and I make our way to sky harbor storm the gates an pick up what's ours lol
Has anyone else glanced at the AT&T thread? I read several posts and it seems like chaos. Does anyone have the cliff notes? It appears that there are backorders and people getting pushed back. This while most of us here are tracking FedEx flights.![]()
