Verizon iPhone 5 Preorder Status Thread

Any 4s VZW vets have any idea how you add Applecare + to your phone when preordering through VZW?

I spole w/ my Apple guy at the store yesterday. He convinced me that Applecare is much less expensive that VZW insurance (though they don't cover a stolen phone). I'm planning to sign up for Applecare at the Apple store today and cancel my VZW insurance.

You have 30 days from purchase of the iP5 to sign up for Applecare.

Any idea how quickly FedEx tracking updates when a delivery is made?

I live about 10 minutes from work, and if it's pretty instantaneous, I could just run home as soon as they are delivered, minimizing the risk that they would get stolen. Unless of course, someone is hawking the FedEx guy/gal. I live in a good area though.

Try tracking at http://www.iship.com/trackit which seems to update faster. Has my phone at the local fedex depot while the fedex site still has it at a destinstion sort facility an hour away.

Funny. I am looking at the same thing. FedEx site has mine 40 minutes away while iship has it at the local facility.

I remember durning the 4S a inch day, tracking on FedEx was also delayed. Perhaps due to the increased volume and all of us constantly refreshing

Mine hasn't reached the destination facility yet neither & it said it had left Memphis yesterday at 4:24PM. Ah the agony and anxiety of waking up to this...everything was going smooth up til now. I just need to be patient & wait it out. Hopefully I won't be posting later today STILL without it reaching destination.

Lucky! I was even tracking my package flight & it should have arrived around 6 something pm yesterday. Damn fed ex is slow around here!

Mine left Newark, NJ last night at 9:45pm and arrived at my local facility at 7:22am this morning. No "out for delivery" status yet.... my "local" facility is about 30-45 minutes away from my house.

I guess I am not too worried since I am working the first half of the day... What sucks is that I can see the FedEx facility from my office's window...

FedEx has a ~3:30 am flight from Memphis to Minneapolis that arrives around 5:30 am. Are you sure your package was on last evening's flight?

Both of mine arrived at sort facility, an hour and a half away, at 5:00pm yesterday. The iship site has it there as well.

Mine left Newark at 9pm last night and arrived at my local NY, NY facility at 7:36am. But it hasn't gone out for delivery yet ... I guess it's still early ... I think?!

At least I'm not the only one. Maybe this is just going to be normal for today but they all get delivered. FedEx really does take delivery dates seriously.

My status just changed from "At Destination Sort Facility" to "At FedEx Destination Facility", which I'm assuming/hoping means it will be Out for Delivery soon.

Mine is now at my local FedEx hub about 15 mins away. Current Status: "At local FedEx facility". It should be going out for delivery within an hour.

Mine reached my local hub and then got the "incorrect address" stamp like I knew it would, causing it to go into delivery exception mode. Called Fedex and they told me they already fixed it - but at the moment they are experiencing delays because of weather.

She said it would still be delivered today but the time has been pushed from 3pm to end of day (8pm).

finally out for delivery. it took a while to show up that it arrived at the sorting facility. I had checked an hr ago and it didn't pop up (even though it's registered as arriving before 3am), now it says sorted and delivering.

I'm not sure, I am just going off of the time Fed Ex last scanned my package which was Sep 20, 2012 4:24 PM Departed FedEx location MEMPHIS, TN ...it matched one of the flights going out yesterday so I was just assuming.

Typically by 8am it's on truck for delivery. I'll check back in an hour to see if there are any updates. My guess is the FedEx servers are being taxed.
