The majority of people who's phones ARE in their city early today still won't get it delivered before 10, regardless of what time your fedex deliveries usually are.

I hope you get it by 3PM though.

Ya I understand. It's priority over standard. And honestly I wouldn't have minded if it took until 2:55PM for my package to get delivered. I'm just frustrated that they sent my package to Los Angeles (a facility that is extremely overwhelmed) instead of Ontario (local facility) that serves the Inland Empire.

New customer!

Okay so my tracking was updated. Apparently the representative I talked to on the phone was talking out of her a**. My package is in Ontario :)

Thank God, it looks like FedEx was on top of their game. I retract my previous statements, they were under a wrong assumption (that the representative that I talked to was correct about my package being in Los Angeles).

They can't refuse to do that. Like legally they can't. If anything the call centers are probably just overloaded.

I know, but in the "unlimited loophole" thread they are doing just that. The guy was in the store and they told him he needed a new sim and they weren't giving them out due to low inventory.

Really Verizon? I hope it's just a stupid store, because I've been told repeatedly to just call before turning on the phone and it's no problem.

We have the EXACT same tracking info.

Waiting for my phone in Midtown, so excited.

Porting

Does anyone know if I should have specified that I intend to port our numbers during the checkout process? Will I need a new sim?

I wanted to make sure we weren't in a total dead zone before transferring the numbers, but now I'm wondering if I should have just entered the AT&T information!

Definitely should have! Now you'll have to go to vzw store.

My co-worker is going to a Verizon store today...to buy a non-iPhone! It's like going to Walmart on Black Friday to pick up some milk.

Hopefully my iPhone comes before lunch, so I can swoop home and pick it up and then work with it all afternoon!

If you're gonna activate your iPhone on another line make sure you don't turn the iPhone on as it will activate it right away.

You have to get your imei number on the box and activate it on the other line before you power it on!

Some reoccurring themes on this thread:

1) Verizon CS is looking at the SAME thing we are - they just tend to misinterpret the dates, times, and locations.

2) If there are any delays in receiving the phone, it is almost always due to a problem with the original order a week ago - FedEx seems to be on top of their game.

Also, I haven't had this much fun with a support group - er, I mean forum thread - since waiting for my MBP two years ago. Cheers, y'all! :D
