Verizon iPhone 5 Preorder Status Thread

Syncing, backing up, and transferring purchases from my iPhone 4S for the last time in preparation for the arrival of the glorious FedEx truck.

Haven't skipped a class in 46 years, but don't blame you cuz I'm just as excited. (On FedEx vehicle for delivery at 8:34 CST) :D :D

Because it takes a genius to understand that moving all of these packages the day before delivery is a bad move?

I know why they did it (to avoid early deliveries). I just don't get why they sent my package to another airport that is 90-110 minutes away (without traffic) from my local sorting facility.

Same situation for me. Last scanned in Memphis at 2:57 PM Central as "Departed FedEx location". My guess is that the LA FedEx distribution centers are a bit overwhelmed.

Yes I understand that sh** happens and you may say that it's just a phone. But this limits my movement throughout the day. I don't have work today but I have other obligations that I would have like to attended to.

Uh guy, you don't know the logistics involved in the delivery process.

Good question... it's frustrating to see all the activity going on and be hearing absolutely NOTHING with a 9/26 delivery date. BTW, Vz's website says the 9/26 date is the shipping date while the receipt says it's the delivery date. I ordered at 6:30 a.m. by phone to Vz rep on the 14th.

It is an LA thing, I was in the same boat. Spoke to a FedEx rep online. They told me that there was a delay with our shipment (scared me half to death) but that it was still going to be delivered on time today. This was all about an hour ago, and 30 minutes after that, my status updated to "At FedEx Destination Facility". You should be perfectly fine! Also, the iship.com/trackit link update earlier for me than FedEx as well.

Verizon's "shipping date" is, 99% of the time, actually the delivery date.

Thats what release forms are for or you can pick it up tomorrow at the hub :)

The majority of people who's phones ARE in their city early today still won't get it delivered before 10, regardless of what time your fedex deliveries usually are.

I hope you get it by 3PM though.

Ok thanks i keep checking and hopefully there is some action today or Monday.

yah.. i hear ppl going and walking in to purchase w/o waiting in line and here i sit after ordering friday afternoon from a Vz rep.. with oct 5th?? for 2 iphones.. :confused: sometimes it suxs to live in the country and not a big city :(

Genius they fly two planes a day from Memphis to Ontario. Ontario is the regional center for the inland empire (population of 4 million). They actually had a plane land in Ontario around 4:50AM PST. At first I thought my package may have been on that plane (which would of made sense).
 
Best news I've gotten all week. Now I'm at work and dont want to wait for it to be delivered so I'm calling a carrier service to pick it up from my house and bring it to my office.
