Verizon iPhone 5 Preorder Status Thread

Hope this means my status will change soon. What model did you order? I'm sure that plays are role in the shipping date as the demand for certain models is likely less than others.
Made the flight from memphis to flint around 4am this morning, and my phones were delivered around 1230 est.
So ordered 9/14 around 315pm est, charged yesterday and phones here today.

What the latest ship by dates anyone has I ordered the 14 at a bit after 1pm at the Verizon store in casper wy and they said the fifth of October then the site is now saying 19th
I don't think I will get it by 10/5 if I don't get my tracking number by Monday.
This is probably the WORST shipping experience of any consumer product I have ever purchased and the failure rate (scuffs outside of the box, broken screens, home buttons, etc.) is pretty high as far as I have seen, so there's that to consider as well.
Pretty disappointing. Apple could have done so much better with quality control and shipping.

I ordered a white 16GB version... with a case. It's supposedly for the 5, although the receipt says 4s... Hopefully I'm not disappointed.
Is it at a FedEx facility or...? I know that if your not home if you want FedEx will hold them for you at one of their buildings. Then you can just go pick it up when you have the time. I think thats what I have to do.
Exact same as mine... still not in transit but has been picked up and is supposed to be here by 3:00p.m. EST
It is where the phones being picked up. I guess they still need some kind of "shipping" to the facility nearest to me and then deliver...
Ordered 9/14 6:45pm EST with an original delivery date of 9/28.
Just got my FedEx tracking number this morning with an estimated delivery date of tomorrow by 3:00pm. One day earlier than expected.
I think the key is the scheduled delivery/ship date. Your status may only change a day or two before that because the shipping is quick once FedEx has it.

website ship date confusion
The ship by date on verizon's website is for new orders placed as of that day, not orders that have already been placed

CC was charged yesterday, then this morning I got my tracking number!! It is currently in Memphis and should be here by tomorrow at 3! I cannot wait!!
i have this theory that i'm never getting my iphone. i ordered at 10PM eastern on 9/14 and my order used to say 'Deliver By: 09/28/2012', but now says that it will ship on 9/28.
i had a preorder with apple.com, but it said delivery by october 5th, and when i saw verizon was saying i'd have it by 9/28, i cancelled my order with apple and got it from verizon. boy was that a huge mistake, would have had it on monday.
oh well, i guess i've learned my lesson.

I ordered shortly before you did, and my credit card was finally charged and the status changed. I don't have my tracking number yet, but the process is finally moving along.
mine got updated to "Your order will ship by 09/28/2012" from "deliver by" right before i got my tracking number ( a few hours ). And mine is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow..
so that I think that is good that yours switched to ship by.. that means it's about to ship... based on what I'm seeing..
i don't know about others, but it only ever said 'deliver by 9/28' on my preorder confirmation email. when i've checked the status online, it's said 'ship by 9/28' the whole time. hopefully mine will process and ship soon, i'm getting antsy!

For Verizon, ship by and deliver by are the same thing. You should have your phone by Friday.
Nor me. Still processing with estimated ship date of 10/5.I ordered on 15th at 12:30pm (mountain time) nothing yet for me..
