Activating an iPhone is much easier then normal phones. You go through the iPhone 5 setup and it activates during that.

Ordered mine at about 3pm on Monday 9/17 and it was shipped on Saturday and arrived at about 10am today. 16GB black, business account.:)

ordered mine 9/26 expected shipping 10/19

i ordered mine @5:50am on the 26th with a expected delivery of 10/19......on 9/27 my cc was charged and it was pending ...the charge now has gone thru....any idea of when i will receive mine?????:confused:

good to know. I added two lines to my account. Added my parents, they dont care about iphone 5s. so i was going to switch the 5s to mine and my boyfriends lines, and give my parents our older iphones.
I wonder what the best way to do this is.

You turn off your current phone (if you are using your current number with your iphone 5). Do NOT turn on iphone. Dial the 1-877 number on a different phone. It is an automated system. It asks you for your phone number(number you will use with iPhone). Then it asks for your last 4 digits of SSN to verify that you are account holder. After about 20 seconds it says your sim is activated. Then you proceed to activate your phone by turning the iphone on and follow instructions on iphone.

Are you sure it's not the account password? The 4 digit one.

Just read yours briefly but if you activate them as they come in. Then go into the site and swap the device ID's to the actual phone/user combo you want. That should accomplish what you're after.
 
White 64gb Ordered 9/16

I have been following this thread for a number of days and thought I'd chime in with my situation.

I pre-ordered a white 64gb in store on 9/16 about 1:00pm and has had a "ship by" date of 10/5 since I ordered. My credit card was charged and the transaction has a post date of 9/27, but I have not received any other information such as a shipment confirmation or tracking number. Since they charged my card last week Thursday I would have expected something by now...hopefully by the end of today.

says "Your order has been sent to processing" but it has said that since I started checking it middle of last week.

I ordered mine on the 17th, they sent me a confirmation email that said delivery by 10/5. My card hasn't been charged yet and i haven't received any other emails and when i check my status it doesn't say anything. will it still be delivered by the 5th?

thats what i was thinking. And then when i activated the sim thing, i'll just put in my phone number instead of the new line.

yep i ordered a 32 gig....i spoke to an agent and they said their supervisor said it should ship out today or tomorrow ...and that alot of orders are getting the tracking numbers delayed...

I would recommend everyone in this thread to start bombarding Verizon with calls. The phone number to the executive complaint team is 212-395-1000. They open at 9am EST. It took me 1 week and 2 days to get this number out of a Verizon rep. If you call now someone will answer from the team but they wont take your info until at least 9am when the office is open.

Let them know you are NOT happy and express your displeasure. You pay to have a product. They have not delivered. It's even more ludicrous when people who order well after all of us get their product before us. I will be calling to express my displeasure with Verizon even though I have cancelled and have an order with sprint. It will take alot of love to get me to come back though. We will see what they have to offer!
 
Perhaps I am in the minority on this board, but I am not at the point where I am really upset at Verizon. I knew when I placed the pre-order two days late that it was going to be a few weeks until I received my phone. That's the way it always is when an Apple product is released. With a 10/5 ship by date they still have until the end of this week before they are past their "promise." So from that perspective I cannot honestly be upset.

However, what I do not like is that my card was charged 4 days ago and I have received no updated information. Also, it is not right that no one seems to have access to order info if you try calling.
 
I'm so pissed at verizon. I ordered my 16gb black iphone 5 on 9/16 around 1:00pm. Haven't seen any change in status or anything. I called them and the lady had no info on it, she just said she doesn't know why people who ordered after us are getting theirs before us. Makes no sense

I don't have a phone and never did. This is my first one.

So what do I do?
