Well...I guess finally posting on this thread brought me some luck. Just received an shipment notification from Verizon. Unlike many others on here who have received theirs, mine has been shipped via 2-day and not overnight express delivery. Will still be here two days before the "promise" ship by date.

I have been following this thread for a number of days and thought I'd chime in with my situation.

I pre-ordered a white 64gb in store on 9/16 about 1:00pm and has had a "ship by" date of 10/5 since I ordered. My credit card was charged and the transaction has a post date of 9/27, but I have not received any other information such as a shipment confirmation or tracking number. Since they charged my card last week Thursday I would have expected something by now...hopefully by the end of today.

The tracking via this website:

https://preorder.verizonwireless.com/iconic/iconic/screens/IconicSearchInit.do

says "Your order has been sent to processing" but it has said that since I started checking it middle of last week.

You're a lucky fellow, my friend. Enjoy your iPhone!

That's what I though too

Did your dad ever call?

I hate to say it but I will. It sounds like the only choices we have is to wait it out or cancel and move forward with something else. My ship by date is 10/19. No card charged, no email, no dialogue, no nothing. I can totally understand the frustration here as some of you have been waiting seems like forever.

I said it before and I'll say it again. I truly believe there is no systematic way their doing things. It's more of a lottery in a way where they are picking and choosing randomly. Obviously this seems to be the case if people are getting theirs before those who ordered first. I'm not so sure complaining to Apple or Verizon is going to push these things any faster but I can certainly understand voicing your displeasure; rightfully so. They should have been more prepared for this. Kinda of reminds me of XBOX 360's, Call of Duty servers crashing during the holidays. Everybody bombarded and they got caught with their pants down. Well, here we are again.

Everybody is getting mad because their phones aren't coming early. Everybody should just chill and wait until the day is says it's going to come. When it doesn't come you have permission to be mad.

Don't feel bad I ordered my Iphones on 9/28. I probably won't get em till Xmas. lol. I'm not worried though I know I'll get it

Okay I just heard on the news that the iPhone 5 has another glitch. Apparently the phone causes users to use their data without them even knowing it. Apple has released a fix for it so I'm wondering if this is what is causing the delays? They did say it was Verizon phones that were affected. This literally was 3 minutes ago.

You're a little late. It won't affect the shipments, because all you need to do is download the update.

You might as well just go into a store

It's a lilttle complicated. I had vzw then I switched to Sprint, then I cancelled Sprint and went back to Vzw and they had to order the Iphones for me. For some reason I couldn't get approved at the stores for a new account because technically my account was still active. So it was causing some kind of errors. Oh well I can wait.

Actually, the newest manufactured iPhones for Verizon already have the newest update as well too.

13.1 I think it is.
