Verizon iPhone 5 Preorder Status Thread

It's been spotty. I had to do it several times before it showed up.

Would you consider 50 or 60 times as several times. Haha. Still not working. I'm not overly worried as I have the email confirmation, but I'd like to at least know Verizon has my order.

Since no business days have passed since preorder day, we don't really have cause for any alarm
 
For anyone who can't get their order pulled up with either of the Order Status pages, try using your PREORDER confirmation number and your FULL NAME. I tried just entering my last name and it didn't work - however entering the full name exactly how it had been entered on the order confirmation (FIRST LAST all in caps) finally pulled up my order information.

I ordered through Verizon with the 9/21 date. Is there a way I can find out estimated FedEx delivery times specific to my area? I'm more familiar with UPS and haven't seen FedEx trucks a whole lot.

The only thing you could do is call your local hub and ask for the driver to contact you.

That will work if it's a small hub.

If it's not, you will just not know.
 
Has anyone that has ordered through Verizon had their status changed from "We received your order and it is in process." to "Preparing for shipment"?

I haven't and I really don't expect to till later this week...still a little early. Yes I know that other guys did but I don't think that's going to happen for everyone.

Normally, I wouldn't expect it this early, but where some orders have already shipped from other carriers, I'm just a little worried. No big deal, though.
 
So I am switching from AT&T to Verizon and I had my phone pre-ordered by 2:25 CST. I got to the confirmation page and PDF'd the page. I still had not received a confirmation email, so I was getting a bit worried. Finally got home from vacation and put my order number into the "search order" page. Come to find out it says "Your order was cancelled".

I called up Verizon customer service and Ashley says that it had happened to another person (bug in the system). She said that if I were already a customer she could check for sure. She insisted that my order was not cancelled and if I do not get a confirmation email by Wednesday to call back.

Anyone else experience this or have comments? Really worried that my order was in fact cancelled and that I'm going to get screwed.

I wish I could have gotten through to the Apple site and I would never have had this problem. From all my dealings with AT&T and Verizon, I find them both very unprofessional.
 
Last year's 4S Verizon Website order details.

Looked at last year's email for 4S shipment ordered from Verizon website. Ordered at 2:12AM Central time on Friday October 7th, received shipment email at 5:48PM Central time on Wednesday October 12th, shipped via Fedex. Received on Friday October 14th.

So should be getting shipment emails around Wednesday, as long as it says "delivers by September 21" in email and "shipped by September 21" on order status page, you will receive on September 21st.

Last year FedEx reference number was : OrderLocationNumber_OrderNumber (not preorder number)

Example:
Preorder Confirmation:9403328000330002
Order Number: 3413389
Order Location: M733801

Fedex Ref Number: M733801_3413389

So try this prior to getting actual tracking number.

Originally pre ordered full price via the apple site but delivery was October 10th-16th. Decided to see delivery dates via verizon. So i ordered the same phone, full price and delivery is by october 5th. Plus via Verzion, phone will be unlocked (it gave me the choice to do it now or later) and 1000 messages for $10 instead of the 500 for $10 which is what I previously had. Via Apple site, is was not unlocked and kept me with the 500/$10 messaging plan. Cancelled Apple order.

*Update*
When I originally ordered earlier today with verizon it said delivery by October 5th, now it says shipment is October 5th.

Ordered two iPhone 5, one canceled

I'm also transferring my family plan from Att to Verizon. Ordered two iPhone 5 under my name, but through different Apple IDs. One of the orders got canceled and Apple says there is problem with the Verizon credit department. The status of the other order changed from "preparing for shipment" back to "processing items". Hopefully they won't cancel this one.

This is really weird. But anyway, I still have to get in the line at Apple Store like an idiot to get another iPhone. :mad:

How timely, I just received an email from Verizon stating my order was cancelled! So I am just going to reorder. Their excuse was "due to the volume of orders". Bull, Apple's volume through their store is way more than Verizon.

Whatever, two or three won't kill me, but it'll be close.
 
I was. Worse was that I had 3 iPhones to pre-order (for my mom, my dad, and me) and got charged $30 for each one. I did a pre-order for my friend (who also has Verizon) on Apple's site and he didn't get charged that $30.


My brother ordered his through Apple and I ordered mine through Verizon. Apparently any Apple.com orders will be charged their fee after the phone is activated and will be billed through their Verizon account in the next month or two.

Ordered mine through Verizon web site and was not charged the fee. Just the full price and tax.

No, the driving routes are dynamic based on their delivery load. Being that in some areas I'm sure the 21st will be a decent increase in deliveries they may bring on extra drivers to accommodate which will further make the routes different from normal. I know in previous years FedEx and UPS have both had drivers in rented commercial vans because they did not have enough of their own vehicles in some areas.

I was not charged the fee ether, but I did pay full price. I wonder if its just going to come on the bill next month?

I got that cute surprise from them once before when I moved my iPad from pre-paid to part of my data share plan, they hit me with a $30 activation fee they forgot to mention when I was doing it.

Ordered mine before midnight PST and got a confirmation email at 12:02 a.m. Delivery date says 9/21, but order status hasn't been changed from processing. I also got a pending charge on my CC for $1.00.

Really pleased with how smoothly it went. I'm just glad I don't have to spend the night at the apple store.
