well, i just got an email with a notification my order was cancelled, followed by one with this message "Unfortunately due to the volume of pre-orders received, your iPhone 5 order failed automation and will need to be resubmitted." ordered a white 64gb on 10/1.

Don't settle for that!! Call your carrier and stir up a storm. My carrier did the same thing.....cancelled two days later. LUCKILY, my date of shipment did not change. I'm still expecting my shipment 10/19.
my order number used to work, but today it keeps saying "we are experiencing technical difficulties, please try again later". is anyone else having this problem? Some people said this means my phone is about to ship....but I'm not sure. ordered a 16gb black on the 22nd.
I ordered a black 16GB from Verizon on the 22nd and today it left Memphis. Expected ship by date was 10/19 but it should arrive on Friday the 12th.
Uh, card got charged last night but I didn't receive a tracking number. Checked this morning and there was a tracking number. Fedex in Memphis got the shipping information at 9 am and it was picked up at 10 am.

Mine was sent in for processing as well today! CC was charged too! No tracking number yet, but hopefully soon! Ordered on 10/2 through vzw.com and ordered a 32GB Black! Way quicker than I thought it would be! 😀
Same here. Felt good to see a change in status. I ordered 32 GB Black from VZW store. Hopefully tomorrow we get our tracking numbers and maybe have it by next week or even the end of this week!
I hope you're right! From what I'm seeing, it may take a day or two to get a tracking number. I'm out of town this weekend, so it might not matter. Oh well, it should be here by early next week worst case scenario!

Ordered mine on September 27th with Verizon business account. 32gb. White Said ship date of Oct 26th. Today changed to order was sent for processing. Two hours later got shipping notice. Will be delivered by 3pm Oct. 11. Almost two weeks ahead of schedule. Think they are starting to roll out.

I think so too. At least people who ordered between like Sep 25-Oct 5th (ish). Cause I know a lot of people prior of Sep 25 have had theirs shift. Could be coming in waves. Hopefully things are ramping up and they are blemish free!
16 gb black ordered the 22nd sent for processing this afternoon and got the shipping notice tonight. will be here on friday!!

Did you order white or black and was it 32GB? Maybe that has something to do with it. I would think you'd find something out soon if others that ordered around when you did are getting their CC charged and shipments getting sent soon. I haven't received a tracking number or anything yet, so who knows when it'll actually come...

Called a Best Buy that is 25 mins away from me today...said they had 1 16GB iPhone 5 for Verizon left, and I went to pick it up today and I got the last one they had, is flawless btw

Finally got my upgrade pushed up a little and ordered my Black 32GB today. As if I haven't been waiting impatiently enough, the wait for the 26th begins... Order is in process...
haha...I hear ya. I debated between 16 and 32. Decided 32 mainly for the space, but also in the back of my mind was thinking I may get it sooner because it is less popular...
I ordered 32 gb white on Oct. 2nd around 6 pm from verizon online and have a ship date of 10/26 but i haven't seen any progress with my order yet! Hopefully soon!
