Verizon iPhone 5 Preorder Status Thread

Ordered an ip5 white 16gb on 9/28 and it should ship by 10/26. I decided to check the website and it still says:

Order Number: ######
Tracking Number: [blank]

I guess I'm not one of the lucky ones who will get theirs early. 10/26-10/14=12 more days of waiting. Ok, I'll keep on playing the waiting game!

Ordered an 32gb black yesterday morning off the verizon website. Have not received the email saying that my order has been confirmed. Anyone in the same boat? Not sure if there is a delay because of the weekend? Thanks for the help!

How is it that people who ordered a week ago already have their iPhones and others who ordered in September are still waiting? How is Verizon prioritizing these orders?

Just ordered a 32GB white today from Verizon online. Got my order confirmation almost immediately. Says expected ship date 10/26. I had ordered from the Apple Store online about a week ago, and the ship date was by Nov. 14. I cancelled that order and ordered from Verizon. Maybe I'll get it quicker

That's not right from what I have been told if you are in store they can do your upgrade up to 7 days early.

This should be true. But I went to upgrade at a Verizon store to do it and they had to call a VZW representative to have the upgrade date bumped. Technically you can upgrade 6 months + 7 days early. Thats what I did. But in regards to getting any upgrade earlier than that it is near impossible...trust me I tried.

But i ordered october 3rd and getting it tomorrow. I had a 32gb Black.

A few questions for other Verizon folks out there:

1. Are they shipping the phones using an overnight option? I've seen a few reports of this happening and want to know if it's a common occurrence.

2. Using powers of deduction, can anyone make a sound estimate as to where facility 1456901 is located? Seems to me that it represents the Memphis location.

FYI: I ordered online on 10/10. Order was sent for processing and CC was charged on 10/12.

Dont be shocked if you do, I ordered my Black 32GB on the 10th and already have tracking and a delivery date of the 17th.

Two weeks I wish that we're true , I ordered 4 iPhones 3 16s and 1 64 18 days ago on the 26th of sept still no change in the your order is in process status but they said would ship by the 19th so I can't complain till after that date ....I don't even have a phone right now switched from sprint to Verizon so I'm stuck ...it is what it is!

No offense but if you ordered on 9/25 you did not preorder as the iPhone 5 was released on 9/21.

I ordered on 9/22 and my order just shipped. I am sure yours will be shipping this week.

I think he meant ordered .... But if you go on verizon website and pick the iPhone, in the address bar it still says preorder verzion ...so he may have a legitimate phrase there.

Don't count on it. My fiancee ordered his on Oct. 3 with a shipping date of 10/26. They haven't charged his card or sent shipping information yet. There is high demand for the 16 gb phones, so now everyone just has to play the waiting game. Good luck, though!

I just don't understand why people are so angry about having to wait a few weeks to get a high demand product. If you wanted the phone on 9/21 you should have done a legitimate preorder on 9/14 to ensure you got one of the original shipments.

Yeah I agree, listen when I ordered Verizon said by the 19th I knew it would be a 3 week wait, if I get it earlier then I get a bone thrown at me!

There has to be a higher demand with Verizon than Sprint. My fiancee and I ordered on 10/3. I have Sprint, he has Verizon. Mine shipped a week and 2 days after ordering, and he's still waiting.
It's just all about demand. Verizon is a big company and everyone wants an iPhone.

I also heard that Apple is telling companies to send out iPhones based on regions instead of order dates. I can only imagine what this will cause. At&t is doing so, not sure about other carriers though.

Possibly because some people, like me, couldn't order one until now because they didn't have an upgrade until in october, and Verizon won't let you upgrade, even a week or day early, like what happened to me. That does suck. They should allow you to order a new phone but just prevent your from activating it until you are eligible to upgrade.

Our upgrade was due on the 7th. Apple website said we were eligible when I checked on the 3rd so went to VZ store on the 4th and was told we couldn't order till the 7th. So we waited.

VZ still calls it preorder. They make you pay upfront instead of adding to the bill using that excuse. Told me if I was buying one unstick they could add to bill but since its a preorder u gotta pay with CC.

That's fan-freaking-tastic! I should have kept checking the store but I wasn't confident that they would have anything a couple of weeks ago. I'm way too far into this to turn back now. Also, I should have just stayed away from the 16gb and went with the highest one.

Okay Johnny5 no one on here has any intention of offending you just for voicing an opinion of their disappointments (sorry if I did geez) but if you don't like hearing complaints, maybe you should find another thread.

And, there is a fine line between being angry and being disappointed. Most people on here are disappointed, not angry. If we were angry don't you think we'd cancel the order instead of waiting??
