Verizon iPhone 5 Preorder Status Thread

Who did you order from, Verizon? I too ordered three 16 GB's on 9/24 from Verizon and the order is now ready for shipment. I am just waiting for my tracking #'s. My shipment date is still 10/19.

I think if your CC has been charged, they aren't going to hold your phone until 10/26. That just doesn't make sense. If nothing changes in the next 24 hour, I would call your carrier or Apple and have them explain.
 
i ordered on 26 or 24 last month,had a delivery date of the 19th,got charged and shipped yesterday 16gb iphone 5,would of been here today but got sent out late,so will be here tomorow according to fedex tho considering it's coming from pa surprised i am not getting it today as pa isn't far from me but w/e

already put it on craigslist and have people willing to pay 800 lol.
 
Package is set to arrive today, does anyone know if fedex leaves this at your door or does someone have to sign for it?
 
I must admit, sometimes FedEx amazes me - like the time they shipped my MacBook Pro from Alaska to Virginia overnight and I had it the next day. Other times, they confuse me - my iPhone has been sitting in Memphis since Sunday with no movement since.

I ordered a Lightening Adapter from Apple. We got a phone call from FedEx yesterday saying that I would need to sign for it or pre sign for it. I think it's up to the seller.

Mine has been doing the same thing. Do you live in somewhat close proximity to Memphis? I am about a 7 hour drive away, and generally my experience with FedEx is that they will keep it in Memphis as late as possible and then transport it overnight and deliver it the next day.

For example, my delivery is scheduled for 10/17 by 7:00pm. I believe FedEx will ship it out of Memphis sometime tonight and drive/fly it over night where it will arrive at my local FedEx sometime early morning where it will immediately get put on the truck for delivery.

Yeah, I hope we get it earlier... A friend of mine just get his and now it makes me want it even more.

I called locally to the VZW store, they had the 32 White and 64 Black in stock... If the 32GB in black was available, I probably would of just went and got it.. I can justify the extra 100$ with music, but an extra 200 for 64 GB isn't worth it IMO.

Yeah, I live in North Carolina. Schedule seems to be the same - 10/17 by 7:00pm.
 
Not sure what to do.

Preorder says, in process, ship by 10/19. (ordered on 9/25/12) Still no charge to the CC. Haven't been able to get anyone on the horn to verify everything is correct.

Any ideas?

i ordered a day after you and mines shipped and charged yesterday 10/17 delivery signature needed,nothing you can do but what like i did,it was annoying but really out of your control

Sit tight, my order status just changed yesterday and I ordered on 9/24. I would think you may see a change today or tomorrow the latest.

I think you can go to the FedEx website and fill out a wavier form so they will leave it and you don't have to sign,
 
Order Update

Ordered Black 64GB on 9/28

Received tracking number this morning for delivery on 10/17 by 4:30 PM

I live in Minneapolis.
 
My status changed to "Your order has been sent for processing." Anyone know how long until I get the tracking #'s?

16GB models are most popular, taking longest to ship. Not many people going with 64GB, so those are easier/quicker to get
 
Got the tracking number

I just got the tracking number. It is coming from Memphis, TN. Estimated delivery date: 10/18.

Ordered status was changed yesterday. Its iphone 16gb white.

So that ends my story now here. Happy iphoning to everyone else :)

Right, on the FedEx website it says:

If your package was shipped with the Indirect Signature Release option, you may leave a signed and dated handwritten note on the door instructing the driver to leave the package at your door.

So you have that option, since the iPhones are being sent with Indirect Signature Release. If you don't leave a note, they will leave a notice on your door. On there there should be an option where you can sign the notice and FedEx will leave it at your doorstep the next time they attempt delivery and also an option to have them leave it at the FedEx location for pickup.
 
Got the about order being sent for processing but just finally got the shipping info more than 24 hours later. Phnes being shipped from Memphis arriving on 18th.
 
Ordered 10/8 says "Received order and is processing" also went from "Will Ship by 11/02/2012" to saying "Expected Ship Date 11/02/2012"

CC Charged and just received tracking information. Prior to this my expected ship date got changed to 10/26. Tracking info expects delivery to be on the 18th.

Same here. Plus FedEx had a plane go from Memphis to Minneapolis last night, I don't know why they didn't put it in there. I could have had it today. Tracking says I should have it tomorrow by 7 PM.
