Verizon iPhone 5 Preorder Status Thread

You're right.. and I saw you post this in the Verizon forum too. I guess no one answered. But because it's Verizon it's different than if it were from Sprint.

What's the big deal about activating it on his line and then deactivating it though. Other than that, you should probably just keep this over in the Verizon thread.
 
I did the pre-purchase for the 16 gb black unsubsidized model for unlimited internet Friday morning. I placed the order online with a CS rep in a chat to confirm that my order will be grandfathered in. My email I received later stated a 9/26 date but the pre-order number doesn’t show up in my Verizon account or the order in my account. I called this weekend to make sure my order was still okay apparently they confirmed a number of orders but haven’t begun the actual job of processing them FYI.
 
I called up customer services for vzw and they telling me that ship date is the 21'st but I preordered at 3:10-3:15 EST AM.??

You shouldn't have any problems.
 
Curious. Anyone who ordered through VerizonWireless.com have success with the package tracking trick mentioned in another thread? I have a 16GB Black ordered and no luck with shipping, but I figure most of the 16GB models are already state-side so shipping likely wouldn't push for a couple days yet.

I tried both UPS and FedEx with no luck. Not to worry, if you have a delivers by or ships by 9/21 confirmation, you will get it Friday.

The carriers supply is likely already in the US, you should get a shipments confirmation Wed or Thurs.

Yeah, I'm not worried, just excited! I am one of those people who tracks the package obsessively until my doorbell rings. I like to know my toys are en route to my hands.

what is this trick you speak of?
 
Anybody able to bill their pre-order to their account? I only get the option for a credit card payment. That's never been the case with past upgrades. And if I choose any other product the bill to account option is available.

You can't. Verizon usually doesn't allow this with the iPhone until it's been out a month or two. CC is the only option for preordering iPhones.
 
So this is funny, the credit department approved my credit check instantly, but the phone side still said that my credit check was in process. I had to call the credit department, who then called the phone side to tell them that yes, my credit was approved.

Also, I had to give my order details all over again to the phone rep as she said it came over as a blank order. wtf?

When you order through apple.com, you can go to ups or fedex to track by reference using your phone number and sometimes you will get your tracking info before apple gets it to you!

Had luck with this with an att.com order for the iphone 4 but I haven't seen anyone that ordered direct from verizion get it to work.

Right, I think I just worded this poorly. Meant more like in exchange for a less hectic ordering experience, you get status changes less frequently.

howd you find this out?! did they send you an email saying you needed to call?

Nope, I was just calling to see my order status cause I never got an email confirmation, and the reps were saying 2 different things. It took a supervisor to actually manually create a new order for me while on the phone to get it put into the system. Had to give everything over again, shipping/billing info, CC number, iphone size and colour.

That's what is shows for most people who did a verizon preorder. A ship date of the 21st from Verizon actually means you will receive it by the 21st.
 
Anyone else having this issue? I preordered from the Verizon site at around 255 AM (prior to the official 3AM launch time) my e-mail had said 9/21, however when I checked my preorder number on the Verizon site the ship date now says 10/5... Anyone else having this problem? I am quit concerned that I might not now get my phone till 10/5:(
 
Verizon 64gb Black Shipping Quesiton -- Ordered From Apple

My VZW 64gb Black is still processing from apply but says delivery on 9/21. I ordered it within the first 30min after midnight PST.

My questions:

Has anyone ordered a 64gb Verizon from Apple and had it shipped or even prepared for shipping?

Some people have reported getting a serial number for some phones they paid the unsubsidized price for being unlocked, anyone confirm that? I also paid the unsubsidized price.

I ordered a 64GB Verizon model in black, and I'm at "Preparing for Shipment" and "Delivers 9/21". I can only surmise it's already in the continental US.
