Card was charged at 6:42pm today, no email from Verizon yet--but my preorder status has changed. Still can't find my phone in Fedex or UPS, but it looks like they're shipping'em tonight.

I have the same screen as you do.

My Mastercard previously had a $1 pending authorization transaction. Today it changed to

Pending
Transactions: $563.00

I checked the link from the email and I get the same screen as you. The shipping information hasn't been filled in yet but I have two drill-down + below my status for each phone's shipping info. When I checked the other link it just says it's been sent for processing.

I don't understand! My AMEX flagged it as well for fraud. I immediately called AMEX about it and cleared the fraud flag. I then called Internet Orders at Verizon and they initially said that everything looked good and then he came back and said, well actually it does look like it was denied. He took my card number over the phone and processed it. He said it came back approved and my Verizon order status showed "Paid, Awaiting Shipment." He said that it looked good for my order to ship on Thursday and receive on Friday but it sounded like he was just assuming based on the time I ordered (12:15am). Checking the pre-order page my expected Shipping date is now blank. It had been showing 9/21/12 since I ordered on Friday.

If the fraud alert caused my ship date to slip by 2 weeks I will be pissed.

I originally got transferred to "Billing" who apparently doesn't know anything.. so I called the internet sales number (866-338-7390) that someone else posted and this got me what I needed. They recharged it immediately and they also know the drill so shouldn't give you any hassle. They have had a LOT of calls.

She told me that all orders would be shipped in the order they were placed and not charged.
 
Is that a bad thing ? That's what my order changed to. I rather ask on macrumors before I call and give VZW a rough time.

That means you've been charged and is preparing for shipment.

I'm especially excited because I didn't think they entered the billing address right, which apparently they did.

expected ship date is blank so not going crazy yet.
 
After calling my bank, I found out that they did receive the $0 authorization charge from Verizon (although it didn't show up in the online statement). I had them leave a note on the account to authorize the actual payment from Verizon since it's gonna be a $950 charge. Now I guess I just have to wait till I finally get the pending charge in the statement. I'm just getting a little impatient because some people who completed orders after I did have already received shipment notifications.

Also, to those of you guys who have been charged, what does it show up as on your statement?

On mine it shows up as VZWRLSS.

I had a similar experience where I got the $0 authorization, but it only stayed on my account for a day or two (unlike the $1 authorizations, which cling on for days). Apparently with this form of authorization they often don't even show up on people's accounts at all. Odd, but maybe that's why so many people weren't seeing any activity at all until the charge went through.
 
Mine that was cancelled was the Amazon Visa

I called Amazon Chase and did ask them to notate the account that the VZW charge was legitimate, and gave them the amount to expect, but the language barrier, even though it was conducted in English, was not reassuring ... it may have just made matters worse. :(

At this point, it's a tossup, but not the end of the world, although this old DroidX keeps reminding me of just how much I need this upgrade. :D
 
I spoke to a generic Verizon rep first and she said to try their "Internet department" at 866-338-7390. The guy I got at that number seemed to know what he was talking about. It was a short wait the first time, now I've been on hold 8 minutes this call.

I've been on hold for 41 minutes now after calling that number...starting to get PISSED.
 
both phones I ordered (one upgrade, one full retail) have been charged to my account today (pending chargers) from VZWRLSS.

I hope this is a good sign. Both are not showing a ship date yet on their site though.

too many people are catching on. :p My first call took a minute. The next was a 12 minute wait. I'm calling them back another time and is 9 minutes of waiting so far.
 
Not sure what it is about how VZ did these charges but it seems to have upset the credit card companies.

I got a call this afternoon from an automated 800 number asking me to verify a charge on my credit card, I did so and it said that the bank had approved a charge for $900 to a "telecom company" did I authorize this, clicked 1 for yes said thank you and hung up on me.

Verizon Preorder now says sent for processing, the date is gone but apparently thats the norm. Credit card on-line shows the pending charge. So I'm feeling pretty good about it.

What I don't understand is this is the card that my auto pay for VZ goes to and my main card I run a decent amount of cash through it every month, over the amount of this transaction. So seeing big charges is not unusual, and seeing charges from VZ is not unusual. I guess combining the two is quite upsetting!
 
So within the last few hours my pre order status has changed from processing to your order has been sent for processing and the shipping date/delivery is now blank...I ordered and received my confirmation email that stated a delivery date of 9/21 at 12:02am PST.

ugh.... my arrival date changed from 9/21 to 10/5.... I called to ask why and they said my payment didn't go through..... i have enough money in there for 4 phones.... WHAT IS GOING ON! i'm not one to get mad, but this really makes me furious...

Same here - what's the number for Verizon to call? can't find in their damn site...
 
My fiance paid for the phone with her CC...the billing information doesn't match what I inputed when I placed the order, and they have charged her CC. So I'm on hold trying to figure out if everything is ok or not.
 
Chase declined my charge!! Idiots!!! I got it all fixed and Verizon said that as long as its the same order number I SHOULD be fine (21st delivery)but she couldn't tell for sure. My shipping changed to the 5th. Anyone have any insight on this? I had my confirmation email @ 2:01 central time, 1 minute after it opened up so I know I have to be one of the first ones.

If they have charged it and it says your order has been sent for processing you are good to go.
