Verizon iPhone 5 Preorder Status Thread

I also have d772101 and no Cc charge and Verizon says "order has been received and it is in process" and ships the 21st. Ordered at 3:50am on the 14th.
Not worried. Like others have said, card should be charged when it ships.
Interesting, I know for the 4S they used FedEx and every phone I've bought from them has been FedEx but that is not to say they won't come on UPS but my money is on FedEx.
Reached internet sales after 25 minutes on hold. The guy was very respectful and handled my barrage of questions nicely.
I specifically asked about the bump to 10/5 and the VZW customer service stating that since my card had to be run again I'd get a later ship date. He explained that just because the card initially declined you don't lose your spot. Once you call to confirm your info and Verizon is able to successfully authorize your CC then your spot in line is maintained, regardless of what other departments are saying.
Since I'd already given my info to the customer service dept I asked the Internet Sales rep if I could cancel that order, he said it's still one in the same (the order# CS provided me is the SAME as my original order, stupid me for not noticing). That seemed to further confirm you don't lose your spot in line... rather other departments don't understand how it works and are just going by what's on their screen. Internet sales has access to a separate ordering system (Internet sales) that CS does not.
All that said, I'll still feel better when my shipping date goes back to 9/21 (currently blank).

Yet, admittedly, here I am, reading the latest updates to the thread on a regular basis.
Unrelated to anything, we've added almost 27 pages to this thread just today. 20 pages in the last 2 hours.
Order status changed about a minute ago to "Your order has been sent for processing." Expected ship date is blank. My debit card was just charged. I never received a pre-auth charge. Again, I used my debit card and DID NOT receive a pre-auth charge.
Good, the Fedex guy usually comes by noon. The UPS guy usually comes around 7PM.
AGREED!!! Relax people its just a phone. Getting in 5 minutes earlier than everyone else or getting it 5 days later is of no importance! Chill out, leave VZW and Apple alone, and go find something more constructive to do. It will get there when it gets there. I can only imagine the calls FedEx has to deal with on Friday from people when the phone isn't at their door by lunch time. Getting a new toy is fun, but its not the end of the world. I can see the posts on Friday... I got mine at 830am... I got mine at 8:29 and 24 seconds, I got mine at 8:29 and 19 seconds...... WHY DOES IT MATTER? Use this time your hitting refresh every 11 seconds on your order status to go for a walk or to the gym. I am happy I get a new phone on Friday, but even if the package is late so be it. It happens
I did the exact same thing with my 4S. Activated it using my number. No problems at all.
Yup, over the phone. I'm a new customer (switching from AT&T), but got an email immediately after the charge went thru.
WTF? Unlimited data is worth the $500 premium? Verizon could all of a sudden start throttling people after so many gigs if they wanted and because your not under contract your going to have to deal with it.
