You guys saved my a@@ with the Internet sales number. Wife paid for a month of daycare early on debit card. Was able to call and change payment info. No one at any other number could help.

I want to repost it because it is damn helpful for those who have been canceled for CC decline reasons. 866-338-7390 "Internet Department"

The hold time has gone up significantly (took me 1 minute at 5 then 25 minute hold at 7) but it is worth the wait. They are the ones at Verizon who know what is up with your order. Just spoke with them for a third time and the guy finally realized what the issue was, for some reason they had my old billing zip code.

Thanks. I'm hold at the moment, hoping this solves my issue.

I fall in the "ordered at 3AM and then had an unknown CC billing issue" crowd. Called sales and they took my billing info again, said "ok, everything looks good" so then I asked if my ship date would be moved back to the originally listed Sept 21st. They said because my CC was re-run it's considered an order date of today and there's nothing they can do about it.

I did the whole bit of asking for a supervisor and got escalated twice but received a bunch of BS excuses (it's Apple's fault your card declined, we don't process/charge your orders...Apple does, you need to call Apple, etc.). It gave me flashbacks to "My Best Friend's Girl."

I have a quick question for whomever is generous enough to provide an answer.

I currently have a verizon account with my wife and I. My WIFE is the one with the upgrade eligibility. However, I want to activate the phone on MY line..not hers.

However, when I went to preorder the iphone on the website I had to select my wife's phone line because it was the only one eligible for the discounted price and I'll be damned if I pay 600 dollars for a phone.

Will this be a problem? Is the device somehow attached to my wife's line? Will I still be able to just activate it on my line like I used to be able to?

Thank you for whoever answers my question.

You should have been able to transfer it during the preorder process but call Verizon when you get the phone (before you activate it) and you will be able to transfer the phone to your line.

Worst case scenario you have to go to Verizon and get a new SIM.

You'll need to hit up Verizon for a new sim for your number.

When you first turn it on, it will be automatically activated to her #, but you can bring it into a verizon store and they will easily switch it for you. I think there also is a number you can call for them to switch it, I just don't know what it is.

In theory you won't need a new SIM. The sim comes blanked but they tie your ESN or MEID or one of those numbers to the line so when you activate it it activates it for that line. If you call before you activate they can switch it to another line and thus you don't need a new SIM.

LTE devices require new sim cards afaik.

Im not sure. But until the sim is activated it shouldnt be tied to a line. He should just be able to call and activate that sim and phone on his number. At least I hope cause I did the same thing.

See, I had reps telling me to call BEFORE turning on the phone and they can switch the numbers on the sim before it's activated. That's what I'm talking about, I keep getting different responses. Another said I could even do it online before turning it on. The issue is the nano-sims, as iphone 5 is the only phone that uses them. How mad will people be if they have a phone and are unable to get a new sim???

Ahh alright that explains why previously I've had to get new sims because they were already activated ;)
