Same here. Though when I go back into VZ it won't let me upgrade my phone, it says to activate when I get my new phone. Seems like everything went through okay.

Verizon iPhone 5 Preorder Status Thread

Same here. Though when I go back into VZ it won't let me upgrade my phone, it says to activate when I get my new phone. Seems like everything went through okay.
It takes 30ish mins to appear in order status and use the long code that starts with 9 to check not the order number.
I also received my confirmation email early, shortly after 3:30 am EST, but none of the confirmation numbers work...
I had a number of questions about the calling plan I actually got when I ordered my new iP5 (at 6:15 AM EDT). I was on hold to VZW support for about 30 minutes, and got a (very tired sounding) rep who nicely answered all my questions. The net of the discussion is that if you have changes you want to make to your order, wait until after you get the phone. If you change things right now, you have to cancel your order and resubmit it, which means you'd lose your place in the order line. Not sure if that matters, because I hope Apple has their act together about having sufficient supplies on hand to meet early order demand.
If I check my order status on the preorder status link, my date changed from 9/21 to 9/26. Oh well

Successfully pre-ordered a white 32GB for my daughter about 7:00 AM EST. Total upgrade price with discount was $317.99. Received confirmation email with delivery date listed as 9/21.
Around 3:30 EST. I woke up and figured might as well order. I ordered a black 64GB.
dang that was only 30 min after midnight pst. Maybe its just a mess up?! and youll get it on the launch day. The OP was saying last year when he preorded the dates on the order thread where all messed up
Place th order for the black one using the tricks I posted yesterday. Instead of paying $849.99. So my extra line will only be $9.99, and I wont have to lose my unlimited data plan.
Notice I'm not on share everything. I advice folks who havent preordered to attempt to go for the Nationwide Talk & text plan in order to keep your monthly bill around the same mark as I did. [$129.99]
Yup. I called right after I placed my order to get my shipping address changed. They changed it no problem.
32gb might be the sweet spot phone where Apple made a ton. A lot of people may have gone low because of cloud services with the 16 or high because of local services with the 64. Could be the reason for dates slipping on specific models.

Anyway, got to the office around 7ish for an 8am meeting .. called Verizon and they took care of it. Confirmation email in my inbox for delivery of a black/slate 64gb by 21Sep12.

dang, im glad i was able to preoder mine before midnight pst. mine still says 9/21 whew.

lucky, i had called around 230am central time and they couldn't place my order for me. told me to order and change to the 2gb plan for now. they annotated my acct saying i need to be reverted to unlimited when the phone comes in since i couldn't order it unlimited online despite full retail price. also got a confirmation text from verizon stating this. hope they don't try to screw me later.

I was able to get my order in about 1:56 am.
So for those thinking they ordered at 2:30am central that it had only been a half hour since ordering began, it could have been at least 37 min if not more since ordering had started.
So far, my delivery date still shows 9/21/2012 in the pre-order system when using my preorder confirmation number to look it up.
