People are freaking out up here lol it's crazy man!! My iPhone has shipped and is now in transit status it shows my state for the next location.. Called Verizon and comfitmed that it will be here Thursday just like it says so I'm feeling pretty good

Wouldn't it be great if some people could be prompted with a quiz when they hit the submit button? Like a Captcha... but instead it would read something like this:

"If your order status says ship by, it actually means the delivery date will be... this is just how Verizon does it."

Followed by:

So answer this question before posting: If my status says ship by 9/21 my order will actually arrive: a) 9/21 b) I'm still not sure c) go back and re-read this.

Thanks! Mine says that "your order has been sent for processing" without a shipping date? But I viewed my Verizon receipts and I have a receipt for both 16GB White I5 I ordered....would everyone say I will at least get it by the 21st? My order number is 46242??

I'm in New York City.

I've recevied email confirmation on the morning I ordered, showing 9/21. Ordered at 3:26am.

No authorizations on my Chase Debit card.

No movement.

"We received your order and it is in process"

Chase people; I have had issues with phone pre orders in the past with them throwing up a fraud alert. No one will bother to tell you this has happened, call chase and see if this is the case, and if not, tell them you know it's coming so they can unflag it. If they did flag it, tell them it's coming and then call verizon's internet order department and ask that they re-run it.

Ordered my phone on Verizon's site and the ship date still says 9/21. And it still says in processing. My card hasn't been billed so I don't think it's on the way like everyone else's who expect to receive it on 9/21. Anyone else have a ship date of 9/21? That would put an arrival date of around 9/26-9/28 ? I haven't seen anyone posting these dates?

I have both a "ship date" and a "delivery date" of 9/26, although my Verizon guy (I ordered at a store 11am Central) assures me that the same thing happened last year. I'm not positive of course, but your phone should arrive on time. Mine however will be late, too bad I took the morning off of work so I could drive to go get it from my mother's house (billing address) on Friday.

alright, just got of the phone with VZ CS rep. I WILL get mine ON 21st, 'cos I placed order at 5 am.

Anyone, who placed orders after 1 pm on Sept. 14th will have shipping date of 28th he said.

Guess that makes sense but I ordered around 11:30AM and mine is 9/26, hoping they bump me to the 21st.

I'm in the same boat as you but I have a question- on the email you got, did it only list one number on the top left? Ordered 2 just like you but it only lists one number where it says "Mobile Number" on the email they sent me. What about you?

It's weird:

It only list one number. I received a second email immediately after that says the second phone number is still processing. HOWEVER: Both emails list the same FEDEX tracking number and both list delivery by or on September 21.

My credit card has a pending charge but I have not received shipping info yet. Expecting it today sometime. Who else has shipping location 0862001? Where do you guys live?

I also have location 0862001 and I have a pending charge $1. Been there for a while. My status still says "We have received your order and it is in process". Ordered the 32GB black around 7:30am central 9/14. My order number is 7 digits so I think I might be later than the 5 & 6 digit orders. None of the various combinations of order numbers has worked in detecting anything at FEDEX for me.

I live in Birmingham, AL. We just got the internet here... Excited to learn about this World Wide Web thing...<sarcasm>

Im in Chicago and same thing. I think the larger cities may be closer to the hubs so they are getting processed last. Thats my theory and so far its making my head stop spinning LOL!

Just got a shipment email, however I show two orders so I don't know which one it is. I ordered two phones and two cases, and one order has shipped while the other still shows "ship by 09/21". Maybe just the accessories have shipped?

Just repeating/underscoring that people should call the Internet order dept and not customer service...apparently customer service will just start a new order and boot you to the back of the line, but the Internet order dept can reactivate your order with the original ship date. (Not personally verified, but passing along what others have said earlier in this topic.)
