Verizon iPhone 5 Preorder Status Thread

just got my shipping email from verizon. to be delivered friday by 3pm. san antonio here.

yayayayaaa!! can't wait to have this phone for my trip to europe.

edit: just fyi, my order number was 877xxx ordered approx 300am central

My experience:

Apartment number was left out of my pre order. Verizon wasn't able to change the order while it was still processing. Called Fedex today to see if they could change and add my apartment number, turns out they can't change anything until the first attempted delivery.

Called Verzion, waited for 15 minutes, was on the phone with the rep for over 20 minutes before she finally processed everything and said I would get a confirmation e-mail when the change was made to my package.

... This shouldn't have happened if Verizon's pre order system was such crap that it defaults your address. :p

I got a fraud alert from AMEX last night. I immediately called and authorized the charge. Looking online, there is no activity, but when I called AMEX directly, they said there was the denied charge last night and then another today that went through.

I guess I am OK, but I still have no status from Verizon.
 
So did most people in this thread pay full price for your phone or did you switch to the shared data plans giving up your unlimited data to get the discount price?

I paid retail, 1) because I wasn't eligible for an upgrade anyhow, and 2) because I wanted to keep unlimited data, so even if the first factor wasn't a variable, I'd still have paid retail.

I wouldn't believe me either, I'm just parroting what the internet order department told me.

Literally right after I posted that I received the email for my other number lol. But actually, it's getting processed differently, different tracking number and everything on the email for one phone that was on the same order as the other. Odd.

Oh NO! That blows...I'd call the internet number that's been going around and explain to them see if they can ship it out earlier...??!?!? worth a try?
 
Got my shipping email! Tracking hasn't propagated yet, though.

I ordered a 32 GB Black, at 2:58 am Eastern, got my confirmation email right away (2:59 am). Verizon order status says shipping on the 20th.

My email conf from VZ is timestamped at 12:04am (PST) and I have yet to get anywhere past the processing phase. No charges on CC, not even an auth. I'm betting they're processing the orders by region and distance from distance from distribution centers to ensure the devices get to their destinations on launch day.

I gave up unlimited data about 3 months ago. My wife and I decided to combine plans. It save us about 30 bucks a month. We have yet to go over 2 gbs.
 
So I finally got in contact with the Internet Orders dept. this morning. For some reason my card was declined yesterday, but it went through now. Now my shipping date says "Not Available at This Time" so hopefully I still get it by Friday. *FINGERS CROSSED*

Also, does anyone know where N211401 is?
