They shouldn't as long as you answered all your security questions, etc;. I've never thought to call them in advance, mainly because I've never had an issue with Chase until now. I had to approve my purchase through Chase, then call Verizon back to reprocess the order.

But did you get a confirmation stating that the purchase didn't go through and then you called?
 
Last question lol: Chase isn't going to think "I'm" doing anything fraudulent and ends up flagging my account if I ask all those questions? I'm a real paranoid dude but honestly think everything is ok. I'm still going to call.

Also, the charges are showing up on people's accounts as both

Everyone's stories about card companies declining or authorizing then pulling charges over possible fraud has me freaked. So I called my bank and told them the pending charge is good-to-go.

Also, my ace order number is 39xxx and it seems people that are higher (later?) are already shipping? WTF?

Mine is 33xxx and still no tracking number. Charge pending on my business debit (PayPal) for the full amount and receipt in My Verizon already there, so I know they've got their money. Should be only a matter of time before I get the email with tracking #.
 
Costco American Express Declined my Verizon IPhone 5 Purchase

I got an email from Verizon at 9:39 PM last night. It said:
Order Date: 09/14/2012 07:03:06

Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for choosing Verizon Wireless. We appreciate your business.

Your order is currently on hold, the credit card number you provided was declined. Please call within 3 days so we can complete your order at 800-417-3849 from 8 AM to 10 PM Monday through Friday and 8 AM to 5 PM EST Saturday.

I thought this email was bogus, so I called Verizon, and they told me my Costco Amex was declined. I tried to charge the Amex again, with Verizon on the phone and it was declined again. I then charged the Iphone 5 to my SWA Visa and the transaction went through. You can't imagine how mad I am at American Express. They did not notify me that there was a problem, and had Verizon not sent me the email, I would have pushed out my delivery date till October 5th. That being said, I now have a tracking number and my Iphone 5 should be delivered on September 21.

Chase called me to verify the purchase. I told them, yes, that I did authorize this order and verified I had the card in my possession, etc;. After that, I had to call Verizon to have them place the order again. Chase had declined the initial credit card transaction and flagged it, pending my approval.

also my ACE order number is like 253XXXX and I've got nothing. I ordered by phone at 6:30AM ET.

I wonder if my order didn't go through until way later. No e-mail confirmation BTW...

I'm at N215501 and no shipping or charge yet that I can see.. sure they can't ship them all or charge them all at the same time.

I got the same location I've been charged as of 6:33pm yesterday no email or tracking yet :(
 
On the horn with Verizon Wireless, called calm & patient regarding it. If it's indeed been pushed back, rep says he would give me a substantial credit to my account. Sounds reasonable.. I just hope I don't have to sit through another two weeks with this motorola droid.. I could've simply walked into the store.

My next goal [on hold now] is to ask him if they charged the correct card, then call my bank and make CERTAIN they let the payment go through
 
I got a shipment notification yesterday at 12:35pm CST and checked the tracking information -- it's supposed to be delivered today. I ordered a 64gb black iPhone 5 on 9/14 over the phone at 7:00am CST. The tracking page shows 2.0 lbs shipped via Standard Overnight - Indirect. I've attached a couple screenshots for verification (personal information is blurred).

Are you sure you're not about to receive a shiny new iPhone 4 or 4S? The reason I ask is I too have a FedEx confirmation, showing delivery today, that looks just like yours with the reference and purchase order fields completed similarly. This is for an iPhone 4 I ordered for my wife. I also have a separate FedEx confirmation for my two iPhone 5s, delivering Friday, that do not have that field populated.
 
Something I just thought of for those of us who haven't seen any activity. I, for one, got assigned a new number when I added a 2nd line onto the account. My confirmation email gave me that number.

I just called it. I don't think anything has been processed yet, because the call didn't go directly to voice mail, it went to a pre-recorded message telling me that the line has been disconnected, etc.

Soooooo, with that being said for those of us who haven't seen anything yet, may want to try with our new numbers and see if that gets you anywhere, might be something to also occupy while you watch and read the boards.

mine did the same thing..... also its not showing up as a number on my verizon page yet either

im in austin and got my card charged yesterday at 5 and tracking at 9ish

I hate this thread. Between looking here, regularly checking the Verizon order status page and my CC account for a charge I am getting nothing done at work...
