Verizon iPhone Orders Already Shipping

I had verizon authorize to hold my fedex shipment at my local store. i called up fedex and said i was leaving to go aboard for school monday and it was prudent i receive this package tomorrow. the fedex person was AWESOME and told me the exact location of the package. all west chester D771101 packages have left the verizon distribution center this afternoon and are in the process of being shipped to their final destinations. lucky for me, my package is certainly on its way to my local fedex store! fedex even agreed to call me by 8AM tomorrow to confirm pickup.

Well finally, after placing my order at 2:45AM Eastern time on the 3rd I just now received confirmation from Verizon and my order has moved from information sent to picked up and in Memphis, TN. It shows being picked up at 9:34pm. Hoping for the estimated delivery date stays true!!

Mine says that too, is yours scheduled to be delivered Monday? Where do you live?

1. Do you have to call/visit Verizon to get that feature removed or can you do it online?

2. That was a smart plan you had. I totally agree with you; there was no way in heck I was gonna shell out $650 for a phone. I figured I'll go through a little trouble after I'm holding it in my hands to use it on my number

You can remove it online after you downgrade the phone, which can also be done online.

Also, for all of you UPS shippers which I am supper jelly of, my dad works for UPS and has told me that he has a whole trailer filled with iPhones going to the tri-state area (that's NY, CT, and NJ). Good luck! I'm not getting mine until Wednesday apparently. I hope FedEx rots in hell.

dont be surprised guys if you get the phone tomorrow. Apparently after doing some research online UPS delivers on saturdays for only Next day air and sometimes second day air. Which means that the cost of next day air already covers the cost for saturday deliveries

and considering that mine just checking into Philly tonight could be ready for an overnight transit. In the past anything I have ever had shipped from anywhere when it leaves from philly or nj to come to ct has always traveled overnight and i would have it next day. And as I type the departure scan has already been done from philly overnight travel in progress hoping for a saturday delivery

Are you sure UPS ships next day air on saturdays???

Unfortunately its worse than that. My order was cancelled and I have to try again next Wednesday at 3 am. Some nonsense about it being because I ordered using my name and not the account owners name, so my order was cancelled. Even though the email I received states that my order will remain open for SEVEN days. I call the number in the email and she said the order is cancelled and to try again on Wednesday. Grrr...so not happy...but I will try to survive...lol

Man that blows...i ordered three...two on my line, and one on my friends account...on my friends account i used my card and my address and it shipped no problems....I'd be so pissed right now

I still have got that "initiated" crap on my tracking screen too. I have a estimated delivery date on mine though for 2/7/11 by 3pm and it says the estimated ship date was 2/4/11

I know guys I feel awful, I really do. I guess the excitement got the best of me. We ordered a free warranty replacement phone for one of the lines on our plan on Thursday as well, and when I got the email saying "your item has been shipped" from Verizon, it looked like it was for the iPhone.

In a way I hope it makes ya'll feel better because now you know that no one got theirs today. I just received the official tracking numbers (we ordered 2) and it says Monday by 3:00pm.

Again, epic fail.

Ha, man do I feel like an idiot for refreshing your tracking page all afternoon to see that you got your replacement phone. This iPhone experience has been a memorable one already.

Well, let me just say that this is my first time pre-ordering something and I don't have the patience for it. Tbh, I've been waiting 5 years for this! Now after ~20 calls to Verizon and even PackageTrackr not showing an estimated date, I guess it's all just playing the waiting game and tons of COD.

Thats what I found when I was researching about it so i hope its right. It states that the only delivers made on saturdays are next day air deliveries. all other shipments run monday-friday, so i am hoping its right.

You will know in the morning. If it says on vehicle for delivery before 9am then you know it will be there no saturday if not then monday it is but i am hoping for tomorrow.

Yes, your right. Saturdays are reserved only for Next Day Air deliveries, but it does depend on which type and what Hub your at. If you're package traveled through the mighty Worldport, your package will have no delays because it is a fully owned air space by UPS. However, if your package is at a local airport like Newark or LaGuardia for example, there may be delays by other commercial flights.

UPS isn't any better on my end. So far no updates but ready for ups for the last 24hours. Ironically my 5year old phone has been crapping out a lot lately. Heres hoping for a possible Monday arrival.

Verizon would have had to pay extra for Saturday delivery. I doubt they would have laid out all the extra cash for this monstrous amount of orders. All the UPS orders with tracking info that I've seen on here (including mine) have a scheduled delivery date of Monday and all have said 1 business day left (meaning Monday). All signs point to Monday and not Saturday. Just don't want everyone getting their hopes up for no reason.

Also, may I please point out Verizon's false information stating that phones have been shipped. I was number 174, and my phone STILL hasn't been picked up from a Warehouse. This is nearly 48 hours after my original order. What happened to first come first served? I'm honestly fed-up with fed-ex and this company that focuses wayy too much on ruling the air when they can't even get their main priorities straight, the customers.

Agreed, but the cost of next day air deliveries includes saturdays thats my point, and I live off the internet and never shop in store and there have been many times where packages have come 1-2 days earlier then stated.
