OK Fellow D771101'ers... Don't lose hope if you haven't gotten your shipping confirmation yet. I JUST FINALLY received mine at 10:07 EST. It's scheduled for Monday delivery too.

Mine has shipped from SoCal and is en route to San Jose. Hopefully it has my mailbox number, because the order confirmation email just had the street address with no box number.

Me too, I'm a little worried about that. It left my apartment number off. Good thing is if I'm not home Monday it will just go to the front office and I can pick it up when I get home...just hope it's ok without my apartment number.

From what I've seen, everyone who entered apartment numbers has claimed that the confirmation left the number off of the address. The same thing happened to me. I wouldn't worry about it. I'm sure that it's just a formatting issue with the confirmation system.

No. I spoke to two different people. The first time she tried to put my CC through again. Then she said it still wasn't going through. So she put me on hold to ask the authorization department and then she came back to tell me it was because I used my name on the order instead of the account owners name. She said the account owners name has to be on the order even if the account owners name isn't on the CC. You can be sure I am going to call several different times on Wednesday to be SURE my order went through AND that my CC can be charged. She just apologized and told me that I can try again at 3:01 AM on the 9th and asked if there was anything else she could help me with. Like what? Grief counseling? Help getting a prescription for Prozac? Maybe a reservation for a suite at the local looney bin?

Ah that REALLY SUCKS!! Well, I really hope you can get thru on the 9th! Good luck!

That really does suck :( But I don't know why that would happen. I used my name and debit card to pay for my phone and my Dad's name is on the account. I even but my address as my shipping address instead of his and mine shipped yesterday at noon. Thats uber weird :confused:
 
Does it have something to do whether you are an account manager or not on the account? The plan I am on is in my Mom's name but I was able to use my personal credit card and my name for the address.

EDIT: my name is on the account as an "account manager" or w/e Verizon calls it to make decisions other than the primary holder of the account

You still will probably get it before those of us who made the mistake of pre-ordering through apple.

I am an account manager and can make any changes on the account. Didn't appear to matter any. I don't know why it was a problem for me but apparently wasn't for others.
 
False alarm? Man, Zaccor, you had us all revved up for the past 24 hours! :p

I know guys I feel awful, I really do. I guess the excitement got the best of me. We ordered a free warranty replacement phone for one of the lines on our plan on Thursday as well, and when I got the email saying "your item has been shipped" from Verizon, it looked like it was for the iPhone.

In a way I hope it makes ya'll feel better because now you know that no one got theirs today. I just received the official tracking numbers (we ordered 2) and it says Monday by 3:00pm.

Again, epic fail.

Yeah...real strange. I've never had a problem with that credit card before so I am sure the problem was on Verizon's end and not on the CC end. It seems they could have at least had the courtesy to call and let me know there was a problem instead of just canceling the order. Especially after I got an email saying the order was cancelled. I called Verizon in a panic and she told me to disregard the email as it showed the order was fine. She said it was a glitch in the system. I feel like wringing her neck about now...lol
 
Well finally, after placing my order at 2:45AM Eastern time on the 3rd I just now received confirmation from Verizon and my order has moved from information sent to picked up and in Memphis, TN. It shows being picked up at 9:34pm. Hoping for the estimated delivery date stays true!! :)
 
dont be surprised guys if you get the phone tomorrow. Apparently after doing some research online UPS delivers on saturdays for only Next day air and sometimes second day air. Which means that the cost of next day air already covers the cost for saturday deliveries

and considering that mine just checking into Philly tonight could be ready for an overnight transit. In the past anything I have ever had shipped from anywhere when it leaves from philly or nj to come to ct has always traveled overnight and i would have it next day. And as I type the departure scan has already been done from philly overnight travel in progress hoping for a saturday delivery
