Verizon iPhone Orders Already Shipping

I was out for dinner and happened to check my email (on my iPod Touch) and finally got a shipping confirmation! In fact, I got 2 separate emails, one for each phone # that I ordered an iPhone for - same tracking # on both email confirmations. They will be here by 3pm on Monday! YAY!

No. I spoke to two different people. The first time she tried to put my CC through again. Then she said it still wasn't going through. So she put me on hold to ask the authorization department and then she came back to tell me it was because I used my name on the order instead of the account owners name. She said the account owners name has to be on the order even if the account owners name isn't on the CC. You can be sure I am going to call several different times on Wednesday to be SURE my order went through AND that my CC can be charged. She just apologized and told me that I can try again at 3:01 AM on the 9th and asked if there was anything else she could help me with. Like what? Grief counseling? Help getting a prescription for Prozac? Maybe a reservation for a suite at the local looney bin?

Does anyone order (Fedex) still just say "Initiated?" All I see is "Feb 4, 2011 1:26 AM: Shipment information sent to FedEx." Please tell me I am not the only one....

You're not alone bud. Mine still says it too and the shipment information was sent to FedEx @ 4:27am this morning.
Yeah I'm in the same boat. Are all of yours shipping to the midwest? I'm hoping mine will be in Omaha by tomorrow.

I must say I unequivocally hate you all who are getting your phones on Monday. No if's, and's, or's or but's! Thanks to Verizon's stupid ordering system I got no notification that my order wouldn't process until it was too late. I asked the rep WHY I was never contacted. She gave me a line about how the order system is automated so if there is a problem YOU have to contact them. Then WHY when you order do you have to give a number where you can be reached? Hmmm...
It seems the contact number is so they can keep robo-calling you to answer a stupid survey. They keep calling me now and I didn't even get to order.
Have to say that that really sucks. I'm sorry that happened.

Has anyone made arrangements with Verizon/UPS to pick up from their distribution center on Sat? Did they allow it?
I completely agree. I just have a feeling that we'll all be seeing some sort of update maybe in the very early hours of tomorrow morning.

I'm guessing (and hoping) its just a delay in their updating system because it is bogged down.
I FINALLY got my tracking number! Almost 48 hours after ordering and like 30 hours after they started rolling out. Bout friggin' time!

Same here....i think that's a good sign....that and the fact that my cc was charged....
I'm the same way, no shipping email yet even though I ordered just before 3AM. But there are still people within the last hour that have received their tracking info and its still on schedule for Monday. Don't loose hope.
EDIT: My shipment confirmation came while I was posting this! WooHoo!
I got that message for past 14 hours- JUST got my shipping confirmation email & my phone is in transit for Monday delivery
The dumb order status thing on Verizon's website has not worked for me since about 2pm yesterday. Suddenly, when I get my shipping confirmation email, it works! ahahah, weird. ALSO: "If you are not available to answer the door at the time of delivery, FedEx will leave a Door Tag for you to sign. They will return later with the package. If you would like the package to be delivered without your presence, you may leave a note at the door with the package details (tracking number, etc. to verify that it really is YOUR package) and your signature." answer to a yahoo question from someone who claims to be a FedEx Phone Rep. Sounds accurate enough, especially for those of us who only require an indirect signature. Dunno if it'll work for direct signatures.

I *just* got my tracking e-mail, despite ordering at 3am. It seems they're just still processing them... must have a ton of orders if it's taking this long.
My guess is anyone who ordered around 3 am will almost definitely be getting theirs on Monday, regardless of when you get a shipping notification. Wouldn't be surprised if people got their phone on Monday without even having got an e-mail, at the rate things are going.
