Verizon iPhone Orders Already Shipping

What time was the status update before the one you currently have?

Mine is still at Local Sort Facility. Waiting for it to go on a truck.

Good News: 4 of the 5 phones ordered were picked up by Fedex in Memphis early this morning and are now showing delivery for 2/9 by 3 PM. I ordered a little after 1 PM on the 3rd (don't ask).
Bad News: The 1 phone that the computer cancelled and I got reinstated with "no loss of your queue space" is still showing PENDING with no tracking number yet.

I got mine ordered and my confirmation email was at 3:50 AM. Mine also says ship before the 9th but they said mine was already sent to FEDEX so I don't know whats going on... Is yours on a business account?

Min said @ local sort facility from 7:20 a.m. yesterday until 1:55 p.m.
switched to out for delivery then
& was in my hands in under 30 min
so my updates were definitely lagging

Crap i don't even know if I am getting mine today...my work ordered mine at 3:45 on the 3rd...I know post on the work post, that one is not as fun and my work gets the same message from their "rep".

I call BS on that though when so many other people already have theirs!!! So I am pulling another "all nighter" here at the office to see if it happens to show up...I have faith...

grrr on so many levels. We live in my in laws house and my dear father in law decided last night that he wants to spray for termites, which means me and my daughter need to be gone for 4 hrs. and of course what time does he want to spray? you guessed it the exact time my phone is scheduled to arrive. So come 1030 we gotta leave and if my phone arrives after then im SOL for the day I called apple to have them request a hold so I can just go pick it up but the request couldnt be accepted due to lack of notice. Also I talked to 2 different people from ups this morning one said it's on time for this morning at 1030 the other said not til tomorrow.

I delivered 2 yesterday.......

LOL I have the ATT iP4 but I drive for UPS. Delivered the first iP4 from VZW on feb 7th at about 920am. I had 2 on truck yesterday. I will see more in about 30 minutes!

Mine will not activate. Synced fine, but will not activate with Verizon.

Well I got my iPhone (yay!) but can't activate it on my number... I upgraded using my husband's line. I'm stuck on the Activate Device page with the message that says I need to contact customer service. I'm pretty sure Verizon customer service is closed now (I was on hold for 55 min before I gave up), so I will try tomorrow. *sigh*

This maybe the answer. Since I'm in Hawaii too, i've been tracking your posts. I'm scheduled to receive mine tonight.

Here are some very helpful instructions from a poster on the Verizon forums:

"NOTE THAT IF YOU DO IT THIS WAY, THE IPHONE WILL NEVER BE ACTIVATED ON THE LINE YOU ORDERED IT ON, ONLY THE LINE YOU ULTIMATELY WANTED TO USE IT ON. THIS WORKED FOR ME FOLKS.

If you bought your phone on a different line than you want to use it on:

Turn off the phone that is on the line you eventually want the iPhone to be activated on.

Go to MyVerizon Home and choose Activate a Device.

Choose the line YOU BOUGHT THE PHONE ON.

When you get to the activation page, you will see the iPhone ready to activate. Click the box to accept the agreement, but choose "Activate Later," NOT "Activate Now."

Go back to MyVerizon Home and choose Activate a Device again. This time, choose the line you want the iPhone on.

When you get to the place where you enter the ESN/MEID, enter the iPhone ESN from your paperwork that came with the phone and click submit.

If everything is OK, you should now be able to plug your device into iTunes and activate it there.

However, my phone was still turned on, so this did not work for me. (And having the phone on may not have been the problem, not sure).

When I clicked "Submit" after entering my ESN, I got a message saying the phone could not be activated and it gave a 800 number to call.

Call the 800 number and ask them to switch the iPhone to the desired line.

Plug into iTunes, accept the agreements and your iPhone will be activated.

I made a call to my wife immediately and everything seems fine. I am now restoring a backup from my iPod touch so that I have all my apps and data from that device.

those of you who have had to activate using a spouses upgrade is it easy or would you recommend just going into verizon and having them do it? I got like a million verizons in a 10 mile radius

LOL Well I am particularly stoked since I figured I wouldn't even get to order until the 9th!! I have no idea what the idea of limiting the pre-orders was if they OBVIOUSLY have the stock...how else could they still send me mine four days after the pre-orders closed? Makes no sense.
