Verizon iPhone Orders Already Shipping

Ok...I got in touch with an old Fedex buddy who works at a hub. The news of the iphones came down about 2 weeks ago. He said that following the instructions he received, the iphones will start shipping from the main hubs tomorrow, which will have them arriving on Monday for Monday delivery. He informed me that they are already getting early counts and he has 800 just coming to my area alone.

He said that if people are getting them early, they somehow slipped through the system and are very lucky. As for UPS he said they may be using them as overflow, but as far as he knows they should be under the same guidelines.

There ya go folks...Monday for everyone unless you have one that skipped through. I promise you this is a trusted source.

Make sure you're using your long reference number (not your short order number), your last name, and your order location (even though it says not needed).

I know this is a dumb question, but after clearing out your cache and going back to the website, did you click "check order status"? Try going thru the main page and checking order status. If that doesn't work, then I am sorry.

Just got off the phone with UPS, apparently they are NOT delivering AT ALL today...

They claim the weather closed the hubs and though it is "overnight shipping" they cannot control the weather..

So EVERYONE BACK TO WORK!

yeah, before i was getting the "page not available" error, now i'm getting the "here is the status of your order" but it's really blank error.

For businesses...residential says up to end of the day...so it could be 7pm. I know around my area, UPS trucks pass by in the evening...

Good observation on that. Its probably a fair assessment that unless the UPS guy has already stopped by, there will be hope into the evening.

I ordered from the Apple store about 15 minutes after the gates opened...mine still shows "Prepared for Shipment"....I couldn't get the Verizon site to work for me, which is why I went to the Apple Store. I chatted with an Apple support rep a few minutes ago & this was the answer I got. Her answers are contradicting....

can you tell me if the Verizon Iphone 4's have been shipped that were purchased through the Apple store?

I don't get why people are still speculating that they're going to be held at a facility until the 10th-ish. It's not like the original iPhone launch, remember, this was just a "new carrier announcement". Technically, it's not a new phone, otherwise Apple would have announced it.

Called West Chest UPS...none of the iPhones will be delivered today...All for Monday. Cut off time was 6pm for next day delivery.

Unless "Saturday Delivery" is checked on the form, it doesn't happen.

VZW would have had to pay extra for Saturday delivery... obviously they did not.
