Verizon iPhone Orders Already Shipping

Yes. I have read several places that say "if screen protectors are to be shipped, you MUST pay extra." I believe this is because they add too much weight to the plane, and therefore cause delays..
 
I just had a thought. If the couriers aren't delivering until Monday, I don't think it's because they couldn't deliver by today, but because Apple, for whatever the reason, doesn't want the customers to have it until Monday. If not, there is absolutely no reason why some of us shouldn't have received the phones already. If that is the case, for those who are picking up the phones at the location, how is the courier going to explain to Apple why the phone was released early? They have to scan it out so they can't really hide it.
Your thoughts?
 
meh, i meant that it adds complexity to your order. its one thing if its already in a box ready for shipping, its another to get additional stuff in it.

Some people were asking for things to do this weekend while they wait for their package to arrive.

-Make sure your iTunes is up-to-date
-Transfer any pictures/videos/voicemails from your old phone to your computer
-Buy a protective case
-Build a shrine
 
I just had a Fed Ex delivery to my house (even though my iPhone is coming via UPS) for a car part I totally forgot about.

Talk about having my heart in my throat......😱

BTW, no change to my UPS status:

perhaps yes, but i also didnt get my shipping info til 4-5am and i have tracking number with UPS with origin and ready for shipment scans at 4 and 6 last night. so they were like 12 hours behind...they may be at our doors before they say out for delivery 😱 ...doubtful, but possible

I was told by an apple rep today that nobody is suppose to get the phone before the 10th. I told him that verizon customers were getting there's and he said they weren't suppose to.

No more updates since 6:00am this morning. So I guess I may just have to wake up early on Monday and sit next to my door 🙂

I'm in almost the exact same boat. Ordered at almost the exact same time (maybe a minute or two later). Got the confirmation email at 8:30 last night, updated tracking info came in early this morning, and my last update is "Picked Up" at 6:00 AM in Memphis. Although the thing I find strange is that beneath that (at 6:00 AM exactly as well) it says "Left FedEx origin facility" in Memphis... Seems like that should be the most recent in the list of notifications.
 
I just got a call saying that my order has arrived.
I said, "My iphone!?".
He said, "No, this is your doctor. Your matching kidney has arrived. You're going to live."

I'm SO disappointed.

Parish, try doing it the same way as for FedEx at UPS the reference generator posted didn't work for me, but when I typed in Order Location #_Order Number like I said earlier with the nine digits, using 0's as necessary at the front end, that worked for me.

Still no luck. Thanks though. Fortunately, the order without a tracking number is the iPhones I bought for my parents. Mine's on schedule.

Does that make me a bad son? 🙄

Not sure if this helps anyone, but I got an origin scan from West Chester last night at 9:01 p.m. I was hoping for a delivery today.

I am in the Baltimore area, and have two friends that work for the UPS center in Sparks, Md. She called the West Chester facility directly and confirmed my iPhone was still there as of 10 mins ago.

So if you had an origin scan from West Chester from last night and have not received a departure scan, I'm guessing you will not be getting your phone until Monday. I was hoping that maybe the system just hadn't updated, but I guess not.

Apple reps, Verizon reps, FedEx reps... You hear different stories from all of them. None of them know ANY more than the rest of us. (I'm pretty sure they know less, most of the time).

I'm in the same boat. Placed my order at 2:55am Wednesday morning and still haven't received any tracking info and FedEx or UPS sites don't recognize my reference info.
