Just got a departure scan from 11:30 a.m. from West Chester...

West Chester status changed to DEPARTURE SCAN

My order out of West Chester, PA 's tracking info just changed to DEPARTURE SCAN. screen shot included.

Anyone with a FedEx # had any luck getting FedEx or VZW to hold their packages so they can pick them up before monday?

I'm totally with you there on that one. I'm well over 24 and still no change in status. I don't even care if I don't have a tracking number, I just want to know they processed my order for shipping. Did you by chance use a credit card instead of a debit card?

"Technical Difficulties" for anyone else?

I have been religiously checking my order status as you all have. Yesterday morning I had a "your order has been shipped" when checking my order status with the long reference pre-order number and through the actual pre-order site, under the begin order.

Then when they took down the pre-order site, I started using the main order status inquiry page. I kept using the long pre-order ref number and getting a page not available from verizon. Then after reading this thread, I used the actual smaller order number... but to my dismay, I was greeted with:

"We have experienced technical difficulty while processing your order.
Please contact Us."

I've since contacted them, with no reply as of yet (it's been about an hour and a half). I have not received any tracking numbers, and the tracking number I have formed using the system outlined by a user in this thread to check FedEx (which was noted as my shipper yesterday) does not work with their system.

I'm not sure if maybe it's because yesterday night I upgraded my third out of three lines with a non-iPhone 4 (which coincidentally has already shipped and for which I've received a tracking number for). It really shouldn't be, since I called customer service to make sure it would be okay. CS said that they saw the order was successful and my credit card has even been charged already.

Anyone else in a similar predicament/get the message that I've received?
 
That would be NO. They have to go to another hub first. Then out for delivery on Monday.

I'm not sure about that. They have to go to another hub, yes. However, it was received by UPS before 8PM yesterday for Next Day Air -- their guarantee says it will be delivered today.

It departed over 3 hours ago, so it could be already on a local truck right now or being put on a local truck right now to go out. UPS has trucks delivering items 24 hours per day. Ground is usually around 3-5PM but overnight could be as late as 7PM...

I buy ALOT of stuff.

I used a debit card, so my credit union won't show any charge or hold from them until Tuesay. I'm switching to a big bank:D

don't overnights take different priority and not always follow the same distribution system to a "T"...?:confused:
 
For people who aren't familiar with UPS tracking, "Departure Scan" means you're not getting it today. That's the phrase they use for transportation between UPS facilities.

"Out for Delivery" means it's coming today. "Arrived at <something, I don't remember- destination hub, local UPS, something like that>" means you're getting it the next day it is delivered, and you might be able to pick it up there, if they're still open.

I saw that on the verizon website yesterday, after a few hours it changed and I got my tracking number. good luck!

Yes -- this is why I am so confused. UPS does not go against their word. It was received by them yesterday, shipped for Next Day Air.

I would be VERY surprised if it doesn't deliver today or around 7PM..

The FedEx orders were picked up by FedEx TODAY, not YESTERDAY like the UPS orders were. Thats why they're getting theirs monday.

Yes, and I hate to be the bearer of bad news. I contacted them about it and my order was CANCELLED because I ordered using my name instead of the account owners name. They told me I have to wait and try again on the 9th at 3:01 am. :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
 
I am a west chester person as well and live 2 hours away in PA. Think about this: If individual trucks left going in different directions (like New Jersey) and it only took them two to three hours to arrive, they would be in the same town as us by now. However, it have to be scanned and processed at our local distributor and put on a truck for delivery to our homes. Monday.

thats exactly what happened to me....but as you did, i called verizon earlier today and they confirmed that the credit card was charged and its shows up on their system....the lady told me that they dont charge your credit card till the package is ready to ship, she told me i was charged this morning and to expect my package tommorow....no tracking number yet though
