Anyone having any luck contacting FedEx (or having Verizon contact FedEx) and getting a hold placed on the package for tomorrow? I'd really like to be able to do that if mine arrived there tonight...

Wednesday, my wife had an ultrasound to see if we're going to have a girl or a boy. Wednesday morning she asked me if I was excited and I said, "Yeah! Only one more day!" She said, "No, the ultrasound is today." My reply was, "Oh, oh yeah. The ultrasound."
Missed Opportunity
Verizon missed a HUGE opportunity to make even more money! Why not give everybody free overnight (like they did) but then give us the consumer the option to pay more and have it delivered on Saturday? They could have made even more!

Just called UPS and they looked up my package. The girl said I could expect it Monday and that it was in Philadelphia at the moment, which is odd since I live near Baltimore. But then again she looked up my package with just my name so Im not sure how that all works.
Great. UPS won't let me put a stop and hold on the package. They want me to call Verizon to do that. Is that even possible?
I'm pretty sure most of the members on here would be willing to pay anything for this option. You're absolutely right.
To those who ordered from Apple:
I just talked to someone [again] on the live chat who was helpful, kind of. He told me that we will get the iPhone before the 10th as promised. He didn't know when they would ship out but said we would get them before the 10th "or early". He even stated that he is "leaning toward earlier".
So, wether earlier means the 9th or the 7th, I don't know... at this point I just want my iPhone and get this crap over with.

Alright I give up I don't feel like calling Verizon and dealing with them anymore. I think it is pretty safe to say that we will get them on Monday. Until then lets all just enjoy super bowl weekend. 
I live about 100 miles from west chester.
I think it will be here on monday, not tuesday but who knows. The only wierd thing about my convo with the VZW rep was she said it was shipped 2 day not NDA so thats a little concerning.
I'll be calling Verizon in an hour to see if they can put a hold on the package. That way I can pick it up tomorrow.
I am VERY HAPPY to Announce That I WILL BE HOLDING MY IPHONE 4 SHORTLY!! I just checked my tracking and it states IN TRANSIT FOR DELIVERY!!!! HOLLLAAA~~!!!!!

I'm a West Chester person too. UPS also told me it should be today. I tried calling Verizon to have them change the order to "hold at facility", but he said he talked to his supervisor, and for security purposes they couldn't change the order.
Anyone else get Verizon to change their order to hold at UPS facility? I want to pick it up tonight if it makes it!!

why didnt they allow preordering wednesday at 3am est we would all have tem today
well, if some people started getting them friday, but you didn't how would you feel. I think it will be a lot easier to swallow if some people get theirs on Monday and yours comes Tuesday instead of having to wait the whole weekend knowing people got theirs and you didn't.

I am waiting for the next scan -- then I am calling the facility to find out if it is leaving for delivery. If not, I will be calling Verizon to hold that package at the facility also.
